September 15, 2026 (Lake County, CA) — We are pleased to announce the newest addition to the Shannon Family of Wines National Accounts Team. Carlton Scott has been appointed Director of National Accounts, East, reporting to Richard Maloney.
Carlton began his career with Southern Wine and Spirits. Within the company, Carlton held several roles, culminating in Vice President of Chains for Florida. After leaving Southern Wine and Spirits, Carlton worked for Beringer and Pernod Ricard, developing a deeper understanding of industry business strategies. His tenure with these companies included roles such as Regional Director of Sales and Director of Chains for the East.
For the last 16 years, Carlton has been with Purple Brands. During this time, he explored many facets within the company, broadening his knowledge of taking brands from their inception to widely renowned status. Carlton held several positions during his time with Purple Brands, finishing as Senior Vice President of National Sales. While working with them, he was a key member of the leadership team that helped brands like Mark West and Raeburn become top-selling brands. Most recently, he led the sales team in launching Redwood Empire and watched it grow to be the #1 California Whiskey.
