Widely regarded as one of the world’s most diverse wine regions, the Loire is home to a remarkable array of grape varieties, including Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Gamay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc.
This is an exciting time for Crémant. Global consumption increased by 3.2% in 2023 as consumers continued to seek more accessible alternatives to Champagne. The United States is the second-largest export market for Crémant de Loire, with 8.9 million bottles shipped in 2023. In the latest 52-week period measured by IRI, French sparkling wine, excluding Champagne, grew 29% in dollar sales.
Passerelles Crémant de Loire debuts with the 2024 vintage. The growing season was marked by above-average rainfall and frost, requiring meticulous work in the vineyard. A late, cool harvest resulted in smaller yields while the healthy fruit retained excellent acidity and concentration; hallmarks of a fresh, elegant sparkling wine.
The 2024 Passerelles Crémant de Loire is available in major markets across the United States, with a suggested retail price of $24.99 per 750 ml bottle.
