Tides & Terroir Celebrates Monterey Bay Wine, Cuisine & Community

Friday and Saturday, October 16-17 at Asilomar Hotel & Conference Grounds

August 24, 2026 (Monterey, CA) — Tides & Terroir, a new two-day wine, food, and artisan makers weekend on the Monterey Coast, has announced the lineup for the inaugural event, October 16-17 at Asilomar State Beach & Conference Grounds,  Monterey Peninsula’s “Refuge by the Sea.”

The weekend opens with A Coastal Table dinner in Merrill Hall, and continues the next day with Tasting by the Tides, an outdoor strolling wine, food, and artisan market in the Grand Cypress Meadow, just steps from the Pacific.

“Tides & Terroir brings together the wine, food, and community of the Monterey Bay,” says co-founder Scott Caraccioli, Caraccioli Cellars. “The farmers, fisheries, cellars, and workshops here all carry a piece of Monterey County’s agricultural and cultural history. Doing this at Asilomar, right on the coast, makes it even more meaningful.”

A Coastal Table – Friday, October 16, 5:30 pm

A Coastal Table is a multi-course wine dinner in Merrill Hall, the 1928 redwood-and-granite building designed by Julia Morgan, California’s first licensed female architect. Tracing the region from Monterey Bay to the highlands above the Salinas Valley row crops, courses are built from the sea, the valley, the highlands, and the cellars. Chefs include Justin Cogley of Aubergine Carmel, Jonny Black of Chez Noir,  Amalia Scatena of Stationaery, Chef Hollie Jackson, Ron Mendoza of Ad Astra Bread, and more. Each course is paired with Santa Lucia Highlands wines from Caraccioli Cellars, Pisoni Family Vineyards, and ROAR, multigenerational farming families who have helped define the quality of Monterey County wines. Music will be provided by the Monterey Symphony with live entertainment by Carmel Delights Dance Company.
