Rogue Valley Celebrates #1 Wine Region Ranking with Wine with Everything: Labor Day Weekend Events

Wine With Everything: Labor Day Weekend Celebration invites visitors to experience the wines, food, activities and communities that make Rogue Valley wine country one of a kind.

August 21, 2026 (Rogue Valley, OR) — Rogue Valley has earned national recognition as the #1 wine region from the 2026 USA Today Reader’s Choice Awards, and this fall, wineries throughout the valley are inviting visitors to discover for themselves what makes southern Oregon wine country so special during the Wine With Everything: Labor Day Weekend Celebration.

Taking place September 4th through 7th, the weekend brings the Rogue Valley’s Wine With Everything spirit to life with special tastings, events, culinary experiences, and opportunities to explore wineries throughout the region.

The Rogue Valley is unlike nearly any other wine destination. Its varied elevations, soils and microclimates allow growers and winemakers to work with an extraordinary range of grape varieties and wine styles. Just as importantly, wine here exists alongside everything else that defines southern Oregon — acclaimed food, outdoor recreation, arts and theater, historic communities and a landscape stretching from vineyard-covered hillsides to mountains and rivers.

That combination is at the heart of Wine With Everything.

The Rogue Valley’s recent #1 recognition shines a national spotlight on a wine region that has been steadily building its reputation through the work of its growers, winemakers, chefs and hospitality community. Wine With Everything: Labor Day Weekend offers an opportunity to celebrate that achievement while giving visitors a reason to experience the region at one of the most exciting times of the year.

“Being named the #1 wine region is an exciting recognition for the Rogue Valley and a reflection of the incredible talent and diversity found throughout the region,” said Austin Marca, Board Member of Rogue Valley Vintners. “From the range of wines being produced to the food, landscapes, and experiences that surround them, there is so much here to discover. Wine With Everything: Labor Day Weekend is a chance to celebrate that recognition and invite people to experience what makes the Rogue Valley such a special wine destination.”

“This is the first year of what we hope becomes an annual event series, welcoming locals and tourists alike to enjoy those last days of summer here in the Rogue Valley,” notes Eric Weisinger, President of Rogue Valley Vintners.

“Our motto “Wine With Everything” puts wine at the heart of how we live here in southern Oregon,” explains Meghann Walk, Vice President of Rogue Valley Vintners. “This Labor Day weekend, it means we have wineries hosting live music, hikes, tours, horseback riding, plant bingo, build your own bouquet workshops, movies, college football watch parties – you name it. There’s a Bad Bunny music pairing at one winery and a country music festival at another. Wineries are creating special flights unique to them, and if you like food and wine, this weekend offers everything from brunch, to pizza, to olive grove tours, to farmer’s markets, to fruit fresh from the orchard next door.”

With wineries spread across the greater Rogue Valley, visitors can spend the weekend discovering dramatically different wines, landscapes and experiences — often just a short drive apart, giving guests the opportunity to create their own route through Rogue Valley wine country.

Whether that means pairing a morning hike with an afternoon tasting, exploring Jacksonville or Ashland before dinner, discovering a new favorite variety, or simply sharing a bottle overlooking the vineyards, the weekend reflects a simple idea:

There isn’t just one way to experience Rogue Valley wine. Here, there’s wine with everything.
