Franciacorta Takes Center Stage in Los Angeles with a Festival Dedicated to Promoting the Appellation in the United States

Eleven wineries, a masterclass and a walk-around tasting showcase the excellence of Franciacorta

August 21, 2026 (Los Angeles, CA) — Franciacorta returns to the United States with an event dedicated to wine professionals, reaffirming its commitment to promoting the appellation in one of its most strategic international markets.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Franciacorta Festival Los Angeles will bring together wine professionals at Catch West Hollywood for a full day of educational seminars and tastings dedicated to showcasing the excellence of the Franciacorta territory.

The initiative represents an important opportunity to strengthen Franciacorta’s presence in the United States through a program designed to deepen knowledge of the appellation and foster direct dialogue with producers. Taking place immediately after Franciacorta’s sixth consecutive year as an official partner of the Television Academy and the Emmy® Awards, the Festival builds on the visibility generated during one of Los Angeles’ most prestigious cultural events, further reinforcing the Consortium’s long-term commitment to the U.S. market.

The day will begin with a masterclass led by May Matta-Aliah, DipWSET, Educational Brand Ambassador, who will guide participants through a tasting exploring the identity of Franciacorta, its production method, the characteristics of its terroir and the stylistic diversity of the appellation through a curated selection of wines from the participating wineries.

The masterclass will be followed by a walk-around tasting, during which attendees will have the opportunity to meet producers, gain a deeper understanding of the different expressions of Franciacorta and taste a broad selection of wines representing the appellation’s various styles. The event will feature eleven wineries: Antica Fratta, Barone Pizzini, Berlucchi, Ca’ del Bosco, Castel Faglia, Castello Bonomi, Clarabella, Ferghettina, Monte Rossa, Montina and Monzio Compagnoni.

The Franciacorta Festival Los Angeles is part of the Consortium’s broader international promotional strategy aimed at strengthening the appellation’s position in key export markets through education, tastings and direct engagement with wine professionals. Initiatives such as this help spread awareness of Franciacorta’s unique territory and traditional production method, promoting a deeper understanding of the appellation among the international trade while reinforcing its position among the world’s leading traditional-method sparkling wines.
