Alioto-Tournahu Estate Wines Debuts 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc, a Bright and Elegant Expression of Napa Valley

August 11, 2026 (St. Helena, CA)Alioto-Tournahu Estate Wines announces the release of its 2025 Sauvignon Blanc, the latest vintage from the historic Tournahu Vineyard in St. Helena. The wine continues the estate’s evolving exploration of site expression, defined by precision, restraint, and a focus on balance and purity.

The project is led by Master Sommelier Nunzio Alioto and Napa Valley winemaker Richard Frederick, whose collaboration brings together two complementary perspectives: one rooted in global wine and hospitality, the other in decades of Napa Valley winemaking experience. Together, they are shaping wines that prioritize clarity of place, structure, and food-friendly elegance.

Originally planted in 1976, the Tournahu Vineyard sits in the heart of St. Helena and has long supplied fruit to respected Napa Valley producers. With the launch of Alioto-Tournahu, the site now steps forward under its own label, offering a more focused and intentional expression of its fruit.

The 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc reflects this philosophy in a bright, precise, and highly drinkable Sancerre-inspired style. Aromatics of citrus blossom, Meyer lemon, green apple, and white flowers lead into a focused palate defined by vibrant acidity and a subtle mineral backbone. A gentle textural component adds dimension and shape without weight, resulting in a wine that is both lifted and composed, with great acidity—fresh and delicious.

Crafted in a low-intervention style and bottled unfined and unfiltered, the goal is transparency rather than manipulation—allowing vineyard character to guide the structure and expression of the wine. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that feels energetic yet controlled, with a finish that is clean, linear, and persistent.

“We would rather keep the gooseberry.”

“This wine represents where we are focused right now—precision, freshness, and restraint,” said Alioto. “We’re not chasing power. We’re chasing balance and clarity from the vineyard to the glass.”

Frederick added, “The site has always had something to say. Our job is to listen closely and let that voice come through as purely as possible.”

The 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc is available now through the estate’s allocation list at aliototournahuwines.com. Ordering closes Saturday, August 22. $42 per bottle.
