August 6, 2026 (Castagnole Monferrato, Italy) — Montalbera 360° Experience is the ambitious hospitality project developed by Montalbera in Castagnole Monferrato, conceived by owner Franco Morando to offer guests a fully immersive journey into the world of Ruchè and the unique landscape of Monferrato, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Representing a significant investment in hospitality, the project reflects Montalbera’s vision of combining fine wine, exclusive accommodation, wellness and curated local experiences into a single destination. At its core lies Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, the estate’s flagship wine and one of Piedmont’s most distinctive indigenous varieties, serving as the gateway to discovering the culture, landscapes and traditions of the region.
Built around the principles of “Space, Light and Harmony”, the Montalbera 360° Experience goes beyond traditional wine tourism, creating meaningful connections between guests, wines and the character of Monferrato through a carefully curated programme of bespoke experiences.
The estate welcomes visitors through a hospitality offering designed to provide an authentic understanding of Montalbera’s identity and its deep connection to the surrounding landscape. Elegant Wine Suites and dedicated tasting spaces allow for in-depth exploration of the winery’s portfolio. Guests can also browse a wine shop featuring selected labels and library vintages or join guided vineyard tours that reveal the diverse soils and exposures that shape the estate’s wines.
A recently inaugurated 16-metre infinity pool, filled with salt water and maintained at a constant temperature of 28°C, overlooks the estate’s vineyards. It is located within the exclusive panoramic area known as the “Dolce Vita” Terrace, a 700-square-metre relaxation space designed to blend seamlessly into the rolling hills of the Monferrato landscape. The area features:
- 4 Gazebo Suites: Private structures designed to ensure the utmost privacy and comfort.
- 25 Sun Loungers: Dedicated spaces for relaxing and sunbathing beside the pool.
An exclusive setting designed to make guests “slow down time”, offering the perfect combination of wellness, nature and premium wine experiences. Access to the pool can be combined with a stay at the luxurious Montalbera Wine Suites and guided winery tours followed by tastings of the estate’s award-winning wines.

Montalbera Wine Suites Five independent suites overlooking a natural amphitheatre of vineyards offer privacy, comfort and uninterrupted views across the estate. Selected suites feature private outdoor Jacuzzis immersed in the landscape. Three additional accommodation units with fully equipped kitchens are currently under development, further expanding the estate’s hospitality offering.
Events Hall A new multifunctional Event Hall, inaugurated in 2026, provides a versatile setting for private tastings, corporate meetings, presentations and exclusive events. Set among the UNESCO World Heritage vineyards of the Vineyard Landscape of Piedmont, it is the ideal solution for those looking to host an event in an exclusive environment, where hospitality, landscape and the quality of the experience come together naturally. Designed to be highly versatile, the venue combines contemporary architecture with a strong connection to the surrounding vineyards. Its large windows allow natural light and the landscape to become an integral part of the event atmosphere, making every occasion – from wine tastings to institutional presentations – an authentic and distinctive experience. The upper floor features a fully equipped kitchen designed to support professional catering services, live cooking demonstrations and fully structured events, ensuring maximum operational efficiency and high standards of quality.
Outdoor Experiences Guests can explore Monferrato through guided wine trekking routes, e-bike excursions, quad adventures, vineyard picnics and horseback rides across the rolling hills. Many activities are organised in collaboration with local partners, including Richard’s Ranch, a renowned equestrian centre and wildlife park.
Wellness and Yoga Among the estate’s most distinctive offerings are Yoga in the Barrel Cellar sessions, an immersive wellness experience surrounded by French oak barrels and the aromas of wine ageing. Guests can also enjoy aperitifs served in outdoor hot tubs overlooking the vineyards.
Winery Tours and Tastings Guided tours lead visitors through the underground ageing cellars, home to more than 400 barriques, offering insight into the estate’s winemaking philosophy and production methods. The experience concludes with a comparative tasting of several expressions of Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, highlighting the versatility and identity of this unique grape variety.

Guided by the Morando family for three generations, Montalbera combines native grape heritage, sustainable viticulture and a fruit-driven winemaking philosophy to express the unique identity of Piedmont’s wine-growing landscapes. Today, the winery occupies a unique position within Piedmont’s wine landscape, stretching across Monferrato and Langhe, two of Italy’s most important wine-producing regions.
