July 29, 2026 (Milton-Freewater, OR) — Cimento Wines, the estate-driven winery rooted in The Rocks District of Milton-Freewater, Oregon, is proud to announce a limited-edition collaboration with Pendleton Woolen Mills, the iconic Pacific Northwest textile house known for its woven blankets, regional manufacturing, and enduring American design. The partnership debuts with a custom Pendleton magnum bottle bag, created as the official packaging for Cimento’s limited 2022 Cimentare Malbec Magnum. A coordinating Pendleton blanket will follow later in the year as part of Cimento’s broader holiday gifting program.

Rooted in Oregon and united by a shared reverence for place and artistry, Cimento Wines and Pendleton begin with nature, grapes shaped by terroir and wool grown from the landscape, and through craftsmanship transform these raw materials into objects of lasting meaning.
Cimento’s estate-grown wines come from one of America’s most distinctive wine regions, where ancient basalt cobblestones create a terroir known for structure, savory depth, and unmistakable texture. Cimento’s approach is rooted in minimal intervention, meticulous farming, and a belief that wine should express the identity of the land from which it comes.
Pendleton’s story is deeply tied to the history of textile-making in the Pacific Northwest. Weaving iconic designs since 1863, Pendleton operates two of America’s remaining woolen mills, located in Pendleton, Oregon, and Washougal, Washington. The Pendleton Mill, opened in 1909, is home to the brand’s jacquard looms, where intricate patterns and imagery are woven directly into fabric. With six generations of family ownership, Pendleton continues to preserve a rare domestic manufacturing tradition, creating pieces that carry forward a legacy of American craftsmanship, regional identity, and timeless design.
“This collaboration is about more than presenting a bottle beautifully. It is about honoring the place, craft, and human hands behind both the wine and the textile. Pendleton has spent generations turning the spirit of the Pacific Northwest into woven form, and Cimento is working to express that same region through wine. Bringing those two traditions together felt like a natural and meaningful extension of who we are.” — David Wanek, Founder of Cimento.
Drawing from Pendleton’s deep pattern archive, the design balances the graphic rhythm of a heritage woolen textile with a color story that reflects Cimento’s landscape, estate identity, and warm, earthy visual language. The design is woven directly into the textile rather than printed or applied after production. From beginning to end, each piece passes through approximately 25 pairs of hands, spanning design ideation, artwork preparation, production layout, weaving, finishing, inspection, cut-and-sew, packaging, and distribution. The result is a woven expression of place and a keepsake object that connects the ritual of opening a magnum with the lasting craft of American textile-making.
“This collaboration began with one of our archival patterns, Painted Hills, reimagined in a custom colorway created exclusively for Cimento,. The palette draws inspiration from Cimento’s signature brand colors, and the rolling vineyards of Washington’s Walla Walla Valley to create a design that celebrates our shared appreciation for craftsmanship, landscapes, and enduring designs.” — Izzy Cristelli, Home Product Manager at Pendleton.
Designed for collectors, wine lovers, design enthusiasts, and holiday gifting, the release transforms the traditional magnum into a keepsake object that celebrates both the wine and the craft behind its presentation.
The 2022 Cimentare Malbec Magnum is priced at $500 with the Pendleton magnum bag included at no additional cost. Available exclusively through Cimento’s mailing list and select placements. The coordinating Pendleton blanket will be completed later in the season, with additional holiday gifting details to follow.
