Originally designed by acclaimed architect Joel Miroglio, the winery has long been recognized for its striking silhouette inspired by the geological strata of Napa Valley. Today, in collaboration with Miroglio and renowned Italian design house SICIS, the building has been reborn through a remarkable artistic vision. Its exterior now shimmers as a luminous mosaic landscape inspired by the colors of Napa Valley itself, from the rich earth of the valley floor to the verdant slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains and the endless skies above. The result is both monumental and deeply rooted in place: an architectural tribute to the land that gives life to Flora Springs.
For the first time in Napa Valley, the artistry of SICIS, creators of some of the world’s most celebrated mosaic environments, has been translated into an entire winery experience. Through thousands upon thousands of hand-set glass and stone tesserae, Flora Springs has become a monumental work of living art. At the heart of this renaissance are three immersive mosaic-lined cave galleries. The artistic experience culminates in a monumental mosaic inspired by Botticelli’s celebrated masterpieces Primavera and The Birth of Venus. In Primavera, Flora emerges through a transformative moment in which the west wind, Zephyr, breathes life into the nymph Chloris, who blossoms into the flower-bearing goddess Flora.
