The Napa Valley Wine Train to Host ‘RAD Dinner on the Train’ on August 28 in Support of RAD Action Art Fest

For One Evening Only, The Napa Valley Wine Train Offers a Luxurious Round-Trip Journey through Rail Arts District with Proceeds Benefitting Future Public Art Projects

July 14, 2026 (Napa, CA)The Napa Valley Wine Train, one of the few active historic passenger railroads in the United States, is proud to partner with the Rail Arts District (RAD Napa) to offer ‘RAD Dinner on the Train’ kicking off the 2nd annual Action Art Fest.  On Friday, August 28, guests will enjoy a luxurious ride through the Rail Arts District featuring exceptional food, wine, and storytelling with proceeds benefitting future public art projects and continued investment in Napa’s growing arts district.

“We are proud to celebrate a decade of the Rail Arts District and the return of Action Art Fest, building on the great success of its 2025 debut,” said Nathan Davis, general manager, Napa Valley Wine Train.  “Napa is brimming with immense creative talent across all disciplines.  Nurturing this spirit is essential to our community’s future and ensures that our unique culture thrives for generations to come.”

Guests of the ‘RAD Dinner on the Train’ experience will board the iconic Napa Valley Wine Train at the McKinstry Street Station where they will embark on a leisurely ride through the Rail Arts District to Rutherford.  Aboard the train, guests will enjoy a three-course dinner with premium Napa Valley wine pairings while relishing stunning views and a taste of the golden age of travel.  The experience includes a guided tour and anecdotes centered on RAD’s honorable mission along with live music, poetry, and more.  Proceeds from the dinner will support future public art projects and continued investment in Napa’s growing arts district.

Founded in 2016 by the Napa Valley Wine Train and the Napa Valley Vine Trail, RAD Napa aims to serve as a free outdoor contemporary art museum beginning in Napa’s Oxbow District and extending north for two miles along the Napa Valley Vine Trail bicycle and pedestrian path and the Napa Valley Wine Train tracks.  Murals, sculptures, landscaping, and parks are among the many elements transforming these semi-industrial areas and neighborhoods into vibrant public spaces.  The Action Art Fest will take place on Saturday, August 29 and feature live art demonstrations, local makers, food and wine, music, interactive experiences, and activities for all ages.  Funds raised throughout the weekend will support RAD Napa’s ongoing mission to transform underutilized urban spaces through public art, placemaking, and community stewardship.

The one-night-only ‘RAD Dinner on the Train’ event takes place on Friday, August 28 from 5:45 to 8:50 p.m. Tickets are priced at $250 per person and are available to purchase here.

The 2nd annual Action Art Fest will take place on Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Action Avenue in the Rail Arts District. Admission is free to the public with food and beverages available for purchase.  For more information, please visit RADNapa.org.
