Annual Event to be held at V. Sattui Winery in Napa Valley
July 9, 2026 (St. Helena, CA) — Napa Valley’s wine community will once again pair exceptional hospitality with global philanthropy when Vines for Vision returns to V. Sattui Winery on Thursday, Aug. 13, raising funds to expand access to sight-saving medical care in Zambia.

The annual gala benefits Eye Surgeons International, a Napa-based nonprofit organization founded by Dr. John Bosetti and Dr. Nancy Jameson with the goal of eliminating preventable blindness by building sustainable eye care systems in underserved communities. This year’s event will help fund a teaching hospital and eye clinic in Zambia, providing patients with access to specialized treatment while training future ophthalmologists, nurses and technicians.
“From disaster relief to education, healthcare and community services, Napa Valley has always demonstrated that philanthropy is part of its identity,” said Cara Davies, Chair, Vines for Vision Gala. “Vines for Vision reflects that same spirit by bringing our community together to make a lasting impact on people who would otherwise live without access to sight-saving care.”
The evening will feature a gourmet dinner prepared by Michelin-starred Chef Stefano Masanti, premium wines from V. Sattui Winery, live and silent auctions, and a Fund-a-Need appeal supporting medical equipment, education and clinical training.
According to the World Health Organization, at least 1 billion people worldwide live with vision impairment that could have been prevented or treated. Rather than relying solely on short-term medical missions, Eye Surgeons International invests in permanent healthcare infrastructure and professional training so local physicians can provide ongoing care within their own communities.
Organizers expect the gala to draw Napa Valley vintners, business leaders, healthcare professionals, community members and philanthropic supporters from throughout Northern California.
Tickets and sponsorship opportunities remain available at www.VinesForVision.com.

About V. Sattui
V. Sattui is the story of a true American Dream. Vittorio Sattui immigrated to the United States from Genoa, Italy in 1882 and opened his San Francisco winery three years later. The Sattuis ran a thriving business for 35 years, before Prohibition forced them to shut their doors. In 1975, Vittorio’s great-grandson Dario Sattui re-established the family business in the Napa Valley, with the dream of creating a “Napa D’Italia,” a place to experience a taste of the good life. It was the 46th winery to open in the Napa Valley since Prohibition, and today it boasts impressive rustic Italianate architecture, lush hidden gardens, expansive picnicking grounds, beautiful vineyards, a stone winery and tower, barrel room, museum, salumeria, gelateria, multiple event spaces, and a stunning newly renovated Mercato del Gusto (Taste of the Market) complete with wine tasting, an Italian artisan deli, and a curated selection of over 200 cheeses.
