Partnership advances education, collaboration, and the global adoption of regenerative viticulture
July 7, 2026 (Sonoma, CA) — The Donum Estate, a leader in regeneratively farmed Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in Northern California, announced a partnership with the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation (RVF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the adoption of regenerative viticulture through education, collaboration, and practical implementation.

Rooted in a shared belief that regenerative viticulture benefits not only the environment but also the resulting wine and long-term health of the wine industry, the partnership will support knowledge-sharing, industry education, research, and the continued advancement of regenerative farming practices across global wine regions.
“At Donum, we believe regenerative farming is one of the most important investments we can make in the future of wine,” said Angelica de Vere Mabray, Chief Executive Officer of The Donum Estate. “Our partnership with the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation reflects our commitment to sharing knowledge, supporting innovation, and helping make regenerative viticulture more accessible, practical, and impactful for growers around the world.”
Founded by Stephen Cronk, owner of Mirabeau Wine, the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation works with growers, researchers, retailers, and industry leaders to accelerate the transition to regenerative farming while demonstrating both its environmental and business benefits.
“We are thrilled to partner with The Donum Estate, whose leadership and commitment to regenerative agriculture make them an important voice within the global wine community,” said Stephen Cronk, Founder of the Regenerative Viticulture Foundation. “By working together, we can help accelerate the adoption of regenerative viticulture, connect growers with practical tools and shared learnings, and contribute to a stronger future for wine regions around the world.”
The partnership builds on Donum’s ongoing collaboration with RVF. At the beginning of 2026, Donum’s Head of Winegrowing, Tony Chapman, was selected to lead the Foundation’s Sonoma One Block Challenge—a program designed to support producers in transitioning their vineyards to regenerative farming practices through proven, actionable strategies.
The program commenced with a field day at the Estate in Sonoma, where over fifty wine producers joined Tony and RVF representatives Caine Thompson, Jennifer Becker and Courtney Carroll for a vineyard tour, presentation, and panel discussion on the impact of regenerative farming.
“Regenerative viticulture is ultimately about learning from one another and continuously improving how we farm,” said Tony Chapman, Head of Winegrowing at The Donum Estate. “Through this partnership, we look forward to contributing to industry-wide conversations, sharing our experiences, and helping advance research and practical solutions that benefit growers and vineyards globally.”
Donum and RVF will collaborate on a range of initiatives centered on three strategic priorities: advancing industry research, showcasing global impact and market demand, and driving thought leadership.
Donum will support RVF through participation in technical support working groups, retailer workshops, trade tastings, and industry events, including Sustainability in Drinks, Wine Paris, and the London Wine Fair.
