Castle Rock Winery Earns Two 90-Point Ratings from James Suckling for Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel

June 18, 2026 (Rolling Hills, CA) — Castle Rock Winery is pleased to announce that two of its latest releases have earned 90-point ratings from internationally acclaimed wine critic James Suckling, further demonstrating the winery’s commitment to delivering exceptional quality and value to wine consumers across the United States.

The wines receiving 90-point ratings are:

Castle Rock Winery California Sauvignon Blanc 2024 – 90 Points

James Suckling described the wine as featuring “orchard fruit, lemons, limes, grapefruit and fresh herbs with a midweight palate, bright acidity and a refreshing, simple finish.”

Castle Rock Winery Lodi Zinfandel 2023 – 90 Points

The review noted “aromas of blackberries, raspberries, plums and spices with a juicy midweight palate, supple tannins and a generous, fruit-driven finish.”

These latest ratings continue Castle Rock Winery’s long tradition of producing award-winning wines that consistently outperform their price category.

“At Castle Rock, our mission has always been simple: provide consumers with outstanding wines at prices consumers can afford to enjoy every day,” said Greg Popovich, Founder and President of Castle Rock Winery. “Receiving 90-point ratings for both our Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel reinforces our belief that great wine doesn’t have to be expensive.”

The recognition also reflects Castle Rock Winery’s continued success across multiple consumer segments. While Castle Rock remains focused on delivering exceptional value to traditional wine consumers, the company’s Kosmic Kitty Wines and Dressage Wines brands continue to expand their reach with new consumers nationwide.

“Whether it’s Castle Rock, Kosmic Kitty, or Dressage, today’s consumers are looking for authenticity, quality, and value,” said Adriana Popovich, Director of Social Media for Castle Rock Winery, Kosmic Kitty Wines, and Dressage Wines. “We’re seeing strong interest across all three brands because they offer consumers excellent wines at prices they can enjoy without sacrificing quality.”
