Paso Robles and Monterey County Vineyard Properties Reflect Investor’s Global Agricultural Legacy
June 4, 2026 (Paso Robles, CA) — Two Central Coast vineyard properties long owned by the late international investor and philanthropist Fawzi Al Saleh have come to market, offering buyers an opportunity to acquire professionally managed vineyard estates in two of California’s most respected winegrowing regions.

Al Saleh acquired the properties—located in Paso Robles’ Estrella District AVA and Monterey County’s Salinas Valley—more than two decades ago, reflecting his enduring connection to California agriculture.
Following his passing, the vineyards are now being offered for sale by his children, who inherited the properties and are seeking the next steward of the land.
“My father developed a deep love for California when he first came here as a student,” said Mr. Al Saleh’s daughter, who lives outside the state and inherited the vineyards with her brother. “He had certain values: one the importance of education, second his love of land and investing in land; but a land that had a direct connection to his personal life. Vista Grande Vineyard [in the Estrella District AVA] is connected to CA and to his friendships that he developed in college as the first scholarship students who left Kuwait. Although our family lives far away, these vineyards have always represented his connection to the land and agricultural community that meant so much to him.”
Al Saleh’s relationship with California began in the late 1950s when he traveled from Kuwait to study engineering at the University of the Pacific on scholarship. Over the years he maintained strong ties with the state while building agricultural investments internationally. At his alma mater, the University of the Pacific, his contributions to the School of Engineering funded essential math and physics tutoring for struggling students.
“He believed agriculture connects people across cultures and generations,” his daughter said. “From date palms in the Gulf region to vineyards in California, land was always about community and the future.”
Two Central Coast Vineyard Offerings
The offering includes two established vineyard properties currently producing premium wine grapes.
Vista Grande Vineyard, located at 5790 Hog Canyon Road near San Miguel in Paso Robles, spans approximately 335 acres, with about 200 vineyard acres planted primarily to Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc in the Estrella District AVA.
The property includes vineyard infrastructure such as three agricultural wells, irrigation systems, and established vineyard blocks, with potential for expanded plantings, a variety of other crops such as lavender or fruit trees, estate wine production, or agritourism development.
The second property, Dover Vineyard, located at 35095 Metz Road near Soledad in Monterey County, spans approximately 217 acres, including about 179 acres planted to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Sauvignon Blanc.
The vineyard’s fruit has historically been sold to respected wine companies, including Coppola Winery, underscoring the vineyard’s reputation for quality fruit from the Monterey AVA.
The property also includes a caretaker residence and facility supporting ongoing vineyard operations.
Transitioning to the Next Steward
The sale reflects a broader generational transition occurring across California wine country, where long-held vineyard properties are increasingly passing to new ownership.
“These vineyards represent more than acreage — they tell a story about California agriculture and the global community of people who believe in it,” said Jenny Heinzen, Broker, and Principal of Vineyard Professional Real Estate, who is representing the properties alongside Elissa Mailhot and Holly Smith.
“With their scale, production history, and locations in two respected wine regions, these vineyards represent rare opportunities for buyers seeking established vineyard assets in California.”
