Hinman Vineyards and Tior Wines Score 95+ at International Women’s Wine Competition, as Well as Receive Best of Class, Best Red and Double Gold

2024 Tior Reserve Pinot Noir outperforms global competition, securing a Double Gold medal and top honors from an all-female panel of industry experts

June 2, 2026 (Eugene, OR)Hinman Vineyards is proud to announce that its 2024 Tior Reserve Pinot Noir has been awarded Best Red Wine at the 19th Annual Women’s International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWWSC). Out of hundreds of entries from around the globe, the Dundee Hills Pinot Noir earned a near-perfect score of 99 points and a prestigious Double Gold medal.

Held recently in Santa Rosa, Calif., the IWWSC is judged exclusively by an all-female panel of premier wine and spirits industry professionals, including winemakers, sommeliers, buyers and journalists. Because women purchase the vast majority of wine for home consumption, the competition serves as a benchmark for consumer taste and industry excellence.

“As always, the International Women’s Wine & Spirits Competition shined a spotlight on hundreds of deserving products,” says Debra Del Fiorentino, owner of Wine Competitions Management & Production, which organizes and presents IWWSC. “Entry is open to all winemakers and distillers, regardless of gender, but we do add an extra spotlight for the top woman in each category. In an industry that has traditionally been perceived as a ‘men’s club,’ it’s important to highlight the roles women are playing to push the industry forward.”

IWWSC judges described the Tior Reserve as: “Rich and layered with dark cherry, cocoa and pomegranate. Floral hints of hibiscus and warm nutmeg weave through a round, full palate with beautifully integrated oak.”

Additionally, the 2023 Tior Pinot Noir and 2024 Tior Pinot Gris both received 95 points and the Double Gold Medal.

“We’re absolutely thrilled by this recognition,” said Chelsea Hinman-Miller, co-owner of Hinman Vineyards. “As a predominantly female-led winery, to receive a 99-point score from an all-women panel of our peers is an incredible honor. The Tior Reserve represents the very best of Oregon winemaking, and this award validates the passion and hard work our entire winery team puts into every bottle.”
