New wine series benefits Woods Humane Society as winery invites the community to celebrate with food, music, and four-legged friends over the Memorial Day weekend.

May 14, 2026 (Arroyo Grande, CA) — Laetitia Vineyards & Winery is proud to announce the launch of SparkJoy, a limited-edition new wine series created to bring joy, community, and purpose to every bottle.
The initial SparkJoy release is a Chenin Blanc pét-nat that will be introduced at the Laetitia tasting room the “Pets and pet-nat” weekend celebrating the release on Saturday, May 23. It’ll be a pet-friendly day of guided vineyard hikes, live music, and a local food truck at the Laetitia tasting room, with Woods Humane Society on-site throughout the day.
Inspired by Laetitia’s name, meaning “joy” and “happiness” from the Latin, SparkJoy is a collection of light, lively, and approachable wines designed to celebrate life’s everyday moments and welcome a new generation of wine lovers to the table.
At the heart of the SparkJoy series is a deep commitment to the Central Coast community. A portion of proceeds from every SparkJoy bottle sold will be donated to a local non-profit. This year, the selected non-profit beneficiary is Woods Humane Society, one of San Luis Obispo County’s most trusted and beloved animal welfare organizations.
The debut release in the SparkJoy series is a Pétillant Naturel Chenin Blanc, aka pét-nat, made from Chenin Blanc grapes grown in Santa Barbara County’s Happy Canyon district. Produced using one of the world’s oldest sparkling winemaking methods, the wine is bottled before fermentation is complete, capturing a natural, gentle effervescence. The result is a beautifully hazy, vibrantly bubbly pour with notes of fresh peach, honeysuckle, and green apple — lively and fun, the perfect introduction to the series it represents.
Pets and Pet Nat: A Day for the Whole Family
To celebrate the debut of SparkJoy’s Pet Nat Chenin Blanc, Laetitia is hosting “Pets and pét-nat,” a pet-friendly afternoon at the winery’s estate in the Arroyo Grande Valley. The celebration unfolds over the three days of the Memorial Day weekend:
- Friday, May 22 — Official SparkJoy Wine Release: Be among the first to purchase and taste the debut pét-nat Chenin Blanc at the Laetitia tasting room.
- Saturday, May 23 — “Pets and pét-nat”: Guided vineyard hike, live music, local food truck, and an on-site Woods Humane Society booth with information on how to get involved.
- Sunday, May 25 — Memorial Weekend tasting room open, SparkJoy available all weekend.
All of this takes place in a welcoming, leashed pet-friendly environment throughout the weekend, because pets belong at the party too!
Woods + Laetitia: A Partnership Built on Community

Laetitia’s partnership with Woods reflects a shared belief that thriving communities take care of their most vulnerable members, and that great wine can be a force for good.
“SparkJoy is about exactly what the name says — sparking joy,” said Winemaker/Owner Eric Hickey of Laetitia Vineyards & Winery. “We want these wines to mean something beyond what is in the glass. It’s an entry point for people who are just beginning their wine journey, and a meaningful new option for those who have loved our wine for years.
