A BOTTLE OF LA ROMANÉE 1865 – BOUCHARD PÈRE & FILS SOARS TO CHF 122,000

May 12, 2026 (Geneva, Switzerland) — To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Baghera/Wines held two exceptional auctions in Geneva on May 10, 2026, presented under the catalogues KIPLING #15 Prelude and KIPLING #16 Heartbeat. Achieving 87% of lots sold and a global result of CHF 2 million, this anniversary day brought together more than 480 lots and 1,083 bottles, ranging from iconic large formats to historic vintages dating back to the 19th century.
The morning sale, Prelude, showcased a premier private collection featuring some of the greatest names in Burgundy, Bordeaux, Champagne, and rare spirits, while the charity sale Heartbeat – composed exclusively of wines sourced directly from the estates and generously donated by winemakers under the impetus of the Association 12 de Cœur – confirmed the strength of the ties maintained by Baghera/Wines with Europe’s most prestigious wine estates. Assortments of Petrus, an impressive series of Yquem vintages growing ever more amber with age, old Malagas, and limited-edition Cristal champagnes from Louis Roederer formed the grand finale of this remarkable day.
Broadcast live from the Lion d’Or de Cologny and followed by an international clientele, this commemorative double auction illustrated ten years of impeccable expertise, and the trust placed in the Geneva-based house by collectors and wine estates alike.
Other exceptional lots:
It is worth highlighting that during this anniversary sale under the KIPLING #15 catalogue, a Melchior of Cheval Blanc was hammered down for CHF 18,300, while a lot of six bottles of Le Pin 2015 fetched CHF 14,640. During the same session, two bottles of Château d’Yquem 1857 and 1861 were respectively sold for CHF 14,640 and CHF 13,420.
“An anniversary is not only a celebration, it is also quite a flashback! These ten years represent far more than a succession of auctions. To me, they tell above all a human adventure, built on precious values such as trust, loyalty, and a shared passion for the world’s greatest wines. This celebration brought together the estates that have supported us since day one, the collectors who have followed us throughout the years, as well as our teams and partners – it is an immense emotion. This day celebrates the wines as much as the unbreakable bonds they have helped create over time. Thank you to all of them!” declared Michael Ganne, founder of Baghera/Wines and auctioneer of the sales.

In October 2022, the company further expanded its activities in Asia with the opening of Baghera/wines Singapore Ltd in Singapore. This entity began organizing live and online auctions from December 2022 onward.
The year 2023 marked the creation of Baghera/wines France, an entity authorized to conduct auctions across France. A second private club dedicated to collectors and event activities was also inaugurated in Nuits-Saint-Georges.
