Bien Nacido Estate Launches New Hospitality Experiences and Celebrates the Gatehouse at Bien Nacido’s 3rd Anniversary

May 4, 2026 (Santa Maria, CA) — Santa Barbara County’s Bien Nacido Estate, home to the renowned Bien Nacido Vineyard, announces the launch of new hospitality experiences at The Gatehouse at Bien Nacido. Debuting in celebration of The Gatehouse’s third anniversary this spring, this expanded lineup of tastings and tours is designed to deepen guest engagement with one of California’s most iconic vineyard sites and its wines.

Located in the prestigious Santa Maria Valley AVA, Bien Nacido Vineyard was planted to the first cool-climate Syrah grapes on the Central Coast and has since become respected for its distinctive Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah wines. Today, the vineyard remains one of the world’s most celebrated, continuing its legacy as one of California’s most esteemed sources for cool-climate grapes. Its on-property hospitality center, The Gatehouse, offers guests the rare opportunity to experience the estate and its wines together in one place. Now, building on its longstanding legacy, these enhanced hospitality offerings provide guests with even more in-depth, site-driven explorations of the vineyard, its wines and its storied history.

To mark the milestone, Bien Nacido Estate will host The Gatehouse’s 3rd Anniversary Party on May 16, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The celebratory, open-house style event invites guests to experience the property in a lively, relaxed setting, with live music throughout the day, a complimentary grazing board, and the opportunity to meet members of the Miller family. Designed as a festive kickoff to the season, the event offers guests a chance to connect more deeply with the estate while enjoying its scenic surroundings and wines.

“When we opened The Gatehouse at Bien Nacido nearly three years ago, our goal was to create a more direct connection between the vineyard and wine enthusiasts,” says Nicholas Miller, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Miller Family Wine Company. “These thoughtful new offerings build on that vision, inviting guests to better understand the nuances of Bien Nacido in ways that meet their individual interests and preferences, ensuring every sip brings them closer to the land.”

Visitors can choose from three new elevated experiences: the Vineyard Tour ($150 per person), a guided exploration through the vineyard, featuring tastings among the vines; the Adobe Experience ($100 per person), a private tasting paired with a tour through the property’s historic adobe; and the Sommelier Tasting ($150 per person), a curated wine journey led by Bien Nacido’s in-house sommelier, tailored to individual preferences. Each immersive experience is designed to highlight Bien Nacido’s terroir-driven wines while providing a deeper understanding of its history and significance.

To further enhance a visit, guests can now add Lunch in the Vineyard. Set within Block Z – recognized for producing some of the Central Coast’s most acclaimed Syrah wines – this add-on features a selection of sandwiches and wraps from Graze Charcuterie, available for an additional $35 per person.
