Dream Big Darling Announces Exclusive “Behind-the-Curtain” Micro-Retreat for Emerging Leaders

April 15, 2026 (Paso Robles, CA) — Dream Big Darling, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to accelerating the careers of women in the wine and spirits industry, is proud to announce its upcoming Paso Robles Dream Tour Micro-Retreat. Taking place May 15–17, 2026, this intensive 48-hour immersion provides eight emerging leaders with unprecedented access to the industry’s most successful operations and top executives.

Valued at over $2,000 per person, this scholarship-based experience is offered for a $150 registration fee through the support of industry partners. The program delivers “hard-won” real-world insights that go far beyond the traditional classroom.

“This isn’t just a retreat; it’s a masterclass in the realities of the wine business today. We are offering a rare, 360-degree view of our industry that spans from the soil to the shelf,” said Founder and President Amanda W. Higgins. “Our mission is to provide these emerging leaders with the professional playbook and the powerhouse network they need to recognize their full potential immediately.”

A 48-Hour Leadership Playbook

Led by Higgins and executive board member Rachel Rey, the high-impact itinerary features:

  • Viticulture & Winemaking: An immersive walk through the historic Paderewski Vineyard (Epoch Estate Wines) with Director of Winemaking Jordan Fiorentini.
  • Hospitality Innovation: A business overview of Hope on Park (Hope Family Wines). Director of Hospitality Jo Armstrong shares how this global brand reimagines the visitor experience.
  • The Iconic Paso Robles Wine Festival: A deep dive into one of California’s premier wine events. Attendees will experience this massive gathering of over 200 producers, gaining a unique regional overview of one of the most dynamic wine communities in the world.
  • Executive Coaching: A deep dive into CliftonStrengths assessments to identify and leverage each participant’s unique leadership edge.
  • Entrepreneurial Inspiration: A mentorship dinner at Rock Bound Cellars with NASA-professional-turned-winemaker and alumna Fio DeRodeff.
  • Strategic Positioning: A session with Robert Hall leadership on their brand reimagination and new national partnership with Whole Foods.
  • Success Mindset: A “Manifesting Success” meet-and-greet with Nancy Ulloa (Ulloa Cellars).

Applications & Lodging

Participants will stay at a brand-new boutique hotel in Templeton, the heart of the region. The program includes two nights of shared accommodations, group breakfasts, and regional market overviews.
