April 9, 2026 (Napa, CA) — Clos du Val, the iconic, family-owned winery in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, has chosen to partner with Reyes Beverage Group (RBG) as they complete their acquisition of Republic National Distributing Company’s operations in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Washington, D.C., Florida, Maryland, Virginia and Hawaii, pending regulatory approvals.
“Clos du Val is excited about the prospect of working with the Reyes organization, as they complete their acquisition across several legacy RNDC markets,” said Olav Goelet, CEO and third-generation owner of Clos du Val. “Our industry is going through change, of a magnitude not seen in decades. It is impacting all segments of the industry from the grower to the consumer. With change comes opportunity, and we believe that RBG is equipped to be a catalyst of positive change for the wine distribution landscape. Their family-owned mindset and focus on long-term building, coupled with their reputation for operational excellence, set them up well to tackle this opportunity.”
Clos du Val was founded in 1972 on the Hirondelle Vineyard in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District, long before the region became a global benchmark for Cabernet Sauvignon. Drawn by the site’s complex soils, coastal influences and natural elegance, the founders helped put Napa Valley on the world wine map by crafting Bordeaux-inspired wines with freshness, structure and ageability.
“We are honored by Clos du Val’s confidence in our team, and proud to welcome them as a supplier partner as we continue to build something incredible together,” said Tom Day, Chief Executive Officer of RBG. “Their rich history and commitment to quality align closely with our family-owned values, and we look forward to leveraging our new teams, capabilities and local expertise in these markets to execute and grow our collective businesses.”

This transition is scheduled to take effect once the transaction between Reyes Beverage Group and Republic National Distributing Company closes as early as the end of May 2026.
