Yamhill-Carlton Celebrates with a Grand Tasting of its Appelation Wines at Abbey Road Farm
March 31, 2026 (Carlton, OR) — Thirty-five wineries from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA will pour at the region’s annual Spring Tasting on Saturday, April 25, at Abbey Road Farm. Tickets are available for purchase now.

This annual event offers a rare opportunity to taste wines from top wineries of the appellation in one day. Some of the wineries represented only offer tasting by appointment, and library wines will be poured that are not available to taste anywhere else, celebrating the longevity of wines from this growing region. Guests are able to purchase wine during the tasting, and check their bottles until the end of the event.
Participating wineries include Abbott Claim, Elk Cove Vineyard, Gran Moraine, Kristof Farms, Ken Wright Cellars, and Soter Vineyards (a full list of participating wineries can be found below). Yamhill-Carlton is known for producing world-class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, and wineries will be pouring other varieties as well, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau, Dolcetto, Gamay, and many styles of sparkling wines, showcasing the wealth of varieties in the region.
Wines at the Spring Tasting will be complimented by seasonal fare from Abbey Road Farm and 82 Acres Executive Chef Will Preisch and his culinary team. This year’s menu includes shrimp cocktail, pulled pork sliders, carrot falafel with herbed yogurt, roasted asparagus with hollandaise, and marinated beets with goat cheese—in addition to a generous array of local cheese and charcuterie. The early-entry VIP hour includes exclusive bites including truffled smash burgers, chicken and waffles, and mussels escabeche.
Tickets are available at Regular and VIP Admission levels: Early entry VIP sessions (10 am and 2 pm) provide first access to wines, a special library pour from wineries unavailable the rest of the day, VIP exclusive bites from the Abbey Road Farm chefs, as well as a complimentary Riedel Pinot Noir glass. Regular Admission (11 am and 3 pm) provides access to the walk-around tasting and generous bites from Abbey Road Farm. Both tickets allow guests to purchase bottles from the producers pouring at the event.
Northwest Wine Shuttle offers concierge services for guests visiting the region for the tasting, including setting up tasting appointments and meal reservations, and transport to and from the tasting to their hotels. Many Carlton hotels and B&Bs have offered a discounted stay for the weekend to attend the event. Details about the concierge service and lodging discounts can be found here.
VIP ($125 per person) sessions are offered from 10 am to 1 pm, and from 2 pm to 5 pm. Regular Admission ($75) sessions are offered from 11 am to 1 pm, and from 3 pm to 5 pm. Tickets are limited and expected to go quickly.
