March 31, 2026 (McMinnville, OR) — The Center for Wine Education at Linfield University hosts an evening of storytelling and wine from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 29 in Linfield University’s Nicholson Library. This unique event offers guests an opportunity to engage with early voices of Oregon’s wine industry.

Rich Schmidt, director of the Oregon Wine History Archive, and Maria Ponzi, director of The Center for Wine Education at Linfield University, moderate a conversation featuring regional wine pioneers:
- Pat Campbell of Elk Cove Vineyards
- Luisa Ponzi of Luisa Wines (formerly of Ponzi Vineyards)
- Anna Matzinger of Matzinger Davies Wine Company
Guests are invited to hear firsthand accounts of the early days of Oregon wine as these influential women reflect on their experiences, the paths they forged and the legacy they have helped build within the wine community. The event includes a tasting of older vintages from their wineries and a wine reception.
The program is part of the Marka and Thomas Hughes Wine Lecture Series at Linfield University, which brings influential voices from the wine industry to campus.
Admission is $10 for the public and free with Linfield ID. Space is limited. Registration is required: https://linfield.edu/wine/news/events.html
