London Wine Fair Announces Unprecedented Investment in Sustainability for 2026

March 30, 2026 — The 2026 London Wine Fair has increased investment in sustainability – the most significant to date – under the new Vindustrious ownership.  London Wine Fair has announced Impact Focus – the sustainability strategy and communication specialists – will be the official Sustainability Partner for the second year, with a brief to shape the event’s sustainability practices and ensure it leads on the key issues facing the global drinks industry.  Impact Focus will  bring greater rigour, transparency and practical action to the LWF’s sustainability approach, from impact measurement through to identifying meaningful areas for improvement across the event.

Impact Focus founder Rosie Davenport will bring the inaugural “Sustainability Hub” to the show – positioning it as a collaborative space at the heart of the fair and the destination for innovative thinking and practical ideas for drinks companies wanting to embed sustainability into how they work. The Sustainability Hub will feature a selection of sustainably minded drinks companies, alongside Non-Government Organisations and Not for Profits spanning the drinks industry and environmental spheres.  Those joining the hub to date include: International Wineries for Climate Action; Porto Protocol; Regenerative Viticulture Foundation; and The Drinks Trust.

Impact Focus will also curate three sustainability panel discussions, which will take place on Centre Stage.  The sessions will cover pertinent sustainable themes including the areas of production, procurement and people.  The debates will be a must-attend for sustainability managers and buyers across the drinks industry.  Impact Focus will also host several 5-10 minute lightning talks on its stand across the three-day event. The bite-sized, walk-up ‘Watercooler Moments sessions’ will cover a variety of practical topics including: Raising the bar – what the new B Corp Standards mean for drinks; Bullsh!t Bingo – calling out greenwashing in drinks communications’; Making sustainability data work harder for your business; How wineries are cutting carbon by the IWCA; Water: it’s time to get serious – with the Porto Protocol.   With collaboration on sustainability initiatives paramount, Impact Focus will also host networking drinks to celebrate the industry’s progress and help companies continue the conversation; these will take place on Monday, 18th May at 16h30.

B Corp certified and 1% for the Planet member, BE WTR, has been named official water supplier to London Wine Fair.  By partnering with BE WTR, which offers a premium alternative to traditional bottled water through advanced micro-filtration technology, elegant design, and circular reuse systems in the highest quality glass bottles, London Wine Fair will be saving three tons of CO2 across the three days (approximately 4,000 traditional single use glass bottles). BE WTR produces premium still and sparkling water specifically designed for hospitality environments. Bottles are reusable and integrated into a circular system eliminating unnecessary waste. BE WTR will offer visitors and exhibitors fresh, filtered still and sparkling water, locally sourced and sustainably served. Its clean, pleasant taste makes it ideally suited to wine and food tasting. BE WTR will also host a masterclass that will highlight the importance of having the right water when tasting wine and food.

Hannah Tovey, Head of London Wine Fair, commented: “We were the first major drinks industry event to platform sustainability in a meaningful way, back in 2022.  Since then, we have led the way in shining a spotlight on the issues and solutions to tackle the threat of climate change.  Our collaboration with Rosie and her team at Impact Focus, partnership with BE WTR and engagement with sustainability minded exhibitors, will make the 2026 show unprecedented in its commitment to the green agenda. As an exhibition, we recognise the responsibility we have to not only reduce our own carbon footprint, but also to facilitate more constructive, industry-wide conversations around sustainability.”

Rosie Davenport, Founder Impact Focus, commented: “Impact Focus is delighted to be partnering with the London Wine Fair at such a pivotal moment for the drinks industry. The Sustainability Hub and the panel programme Impact Focus is curating will bring together the brightest minds and most progressive businesses in the trade – sharing knowledge, challenging thinking and turning ambition into action. At a time when the industry is under increasing pressure, smart drinks businesses have realised sustainability offers a real opportunity to unlock competitive advantage, as well as cost savings. We’re looking forward to continuing to help shape that conversation in May.”

Barnaby Richardson, Commercial Director, BE WTR, commented: “As BE WTR has been designed for gastronomy, it is served alongside the best wines in many fine dining establishments around the world, making our partnership with the London Wine Fair a perfect fit! The London Wine Fair brings together the cream of the On-trade allowing BE WTR to showcase our new technology and approach, to the UK trade.”

London Wine Fair 2026 will take place from 18th to 20th May at Olympia.  Visitors and exhibitors are encouraged to bring reusable cups to the show as Olympia, to reduce waste and benefit from a 50p discount on coffees and teas.
