March 26, 2026 (Eugene, OR) — A collective of South Willamette Valley wineries will gather for an exclusive, industry-only tasting on Monday, April 27, from 3:00–6:00 PM at Capitello Wines in Eugene.
Designed to foster connection and deepen engagement with the region, the private tasting invites hospitality professionals, wine buyers, distributors, and tourism partners to explore the range and character of South Willamette Valley wines. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet winemakers, taste across a diverse lineup, and gain insight into a region that continues to evolve with intention and collaboration.
“This tasting is really about bringing the region together in one place,” said Jessica Thomas, General Manager of Sweet Cheeks Winery. “Our wineries are a bit more spread out than in the northern part of the valley, so this creates an easy, approachable way for the trade to experience the diversity and quality of South Willamette Valley wines all at once.”
Participating wineries include Antiquum Farm, Apona Vineyards, Benton-Lane Winery, Brigadoon Wine Company, Broadley Vineyards, Capitello Wines, Sweet Cheeks Winery, and Walnut Ridge Vineyard, each offering a distinct perspective shaped by site, style, and philosophy.
The participating wineries span both the Lower Long Tom AVA and the southern reaches of the Willamette Valley AVA. The Lower Long Tom AVA is defined in part by Bellpine soils, clay-loams formed from uplifted ancient marine sediments, primarily sandstone, contributing to the distinct character of wines from the area.
A wide range of wines will be showcased, from the region’s signature Pinot noir and Chardonnay to other varieties that reflect the breadth of winemaking in the South Willamette Valley. Principals from each winery will be on hand, pouring their wines and offering firsthand insight into their work.
With its varied terroir and a growing community of thoughtful producers, the South Willamette Valley is steadily carving out its place within Oregon wine. This tasting provides a focused opportunity for trade partners to experience that momentum firsthand.
