March 12, 2026 (Montefalco, Perugia) — Montefalco welcomes national and international press along with wine trade professionals for “A Montefalco”, the initiative promoted by the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco, scheduled from April 26 to 28. The event is dedicated to the current market releases of wines produced in the Montefalco and Spoleto denominations, as well as to the new vintage of Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG.

The event represents an exclusive opportunity for in-depth exploration and tasting, offering a close look at the wine identity of a territory that symbolizes Umbria’s wine heritage. The program will involve journalists and industry professionals through technical tastings, masterclasses, and winery visits.

Among the most anticipated moments is the Masterclass led by Master of Wine Cristina Mercuri, focused on the contemporary interpretation of Montefalco wines and their role in international gastronomy, scheduled for Monday, April 27 at 6:00 pm. On Tuesday, April 28 at 9:00 am, at the San Francesco Museum Complex, the presentation of the 2022 vintage and the producers participating in “A Montefalco” 2026 will take place. Coordinated by journalist Jacopo Cossater, the speakers will include Alfredo Gentili, Mayor of Montefalco; Ian D’Agata, journalist and President of the external commission responsible for the vintage evaluation; Paolo Bartoloni, President of the Consorzio Tutela Vini Montefalco; Sandro Camilli, President of AIS Italia; Simona Meloni, Regional Councillor for Agriculture of the Umbria Region; and Stefania Proietti, President of the Umbria Region.
