March 3, 2026 (Chelan, WA) — The Lake Chelan Wine Alliance has released Grapes of Grit, a short film capturing the spirit, resilience, and landscape that define the Lake Chelan AVA.
Grapes of Grit is a cinematic tribute to the pioneering spirit of the Lake Chelan Wine Valley. From glacial soils and steep vineyard slopes to the winemakers who believed in this place before the world did, this film captures the resilience, craftsmanship, and bold vision that transformed orchards into an award-winning AVA. Produced by Heirloom Creatives, Grapes of Grit tells one story through many voices — a story rooted in grit, shaped by the lake, and driven by those who dared to plant vines here.“Grapes of Grit celebrates the people behind the vines,” said Renea Roberts, Director of Community Engagement for the Lake Chelan Wine Alliance. “This is a story of determination, community, and a place where nature demands excellence.”
