For One Day Only, The Napa Valley Wine Train Will Offer a Luxurious Round-Trip Journey to the Historic Downtown Celebration

February 24, 2026 (Napa, CA) — The Napa Valley Wine Train, one of the few active historic passenger railroads in the United States, is proud to celebrate St. Helena’s 150th Anniversary by offering an exclusive round-trip journey to St. Helena’s Main Street on Tuesday, March 24. To honor the occasion and support St. Helena businesses, tickets are priced at only $29.54 including taxes and fees. While acclaimed for its onboard multi-course dining journeys, the Napa Valley Wine Train’s commemorative excursion is designed reflect to the origin days of the Napa Valley Railroad as a passenger service, and transport guests directly to St. Helena to experience the local merchants, wine tasting lounges and acclaimed restaurants while contributing to the vitality of the community.

The St. Helena 150th Anniversary Wine Train Exclusive begins with a special presentation by the St. Helena Historical Society at the McKinstry Street Train Station in downtown Napa prior to departure. Guests will board at 1:45 p.m., with the train departing at 2:20 p.m. Historical Society docents will also be on board to share fascinating stories spanning from the 1800s to present day and answer questions throughout the journey.
Guests may purchase an elevated onboard menu featuring a gourmet cheese course, deluxe wine flight, and an exclusive Judgment of Paris 1976 wine flight, commemorating Napa Valley’s historic moment on the global wine stage 50 years ago. The train will arrive in St. Helena at 3:45 p.m., where passengers are welcomed to attend the anniversary plaque commemoration at Lyman Park and enjoy free time to explore the town’s shops, galleries, and tasting rooms. Passengers will reboard at 5:45 p.m. for the return journey, arriving back at McKinstry Street Station at approximately 7:15 p.m.
