Eight Livermore Valley Wines Were Awarded the Best of Class Distinction

January 23, 2026 (Livermore, CA) — The Livermore Valley Wine Community (LVWC) is thrilled to announce that its wineries were awarded a record 239 medals in the 2026 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest wine competition in North America. Eight were awarded Best of Class with another 30 winning Double Gold.
“Earning a record 239 awards, including eight ‘Best in Class’, at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition is an extraordinary honor for the Livermore Valley wine region and a powerful testament to the talent, passion and collaborative spirit of our winemaking community,” said Brandi Lombardi, Executive Director for the Livermore Valley Wine Community. “This achievement highlights the dedication to elevating the quality wines and craftsmanship of our winemakers and we hope these awards continue to inspire wine lovers from the Bay Area and beyond to visit and experience our award-winning wines.”
