Dana Stemmler of Bogle Family Wine Collection Promoted to Director of Winemaking

20-year veteran, Stemmler, to assume leadership role for one of the country’s largest family-owned and operated wine producers

January 5, 2026 (Clarksburg, CA) — Bogle Family Wine Collection, which features five distinct brands – Bogle Family Vineyards, Phantom, Juggernaut, ElementAL and TWENTY ACRES by Bogle – has announced the promotion of winemaker Dana Stemmler to Director of Winemaking, as recognition of her outstanding contribution, leadership, and nearly two decades of excellence at the Clarksburg winery. 

Stemmler has crafted an impressive portfolio of acclaimed, award-winning wines that exemplify Bogle Family Wine Collection’s commitment to quality, consistency, and sustainability. 

“In her time at Bogle Family Wine Collection, Dana has blended her talent with a tireless work ethic to help create some of the highest quality wines in our category,” said Vice President of Winemaking, Eric Aafedt.  “Her impact stretches beyond the awards and 90+ scores of our wines, Dana’s leadership and ability to marry art and science in our winemaking techniques will help ensure we are successful for decades to come.”

Stemmler’s contribution to the Bogle winemaking philosophy, thoughtful blending, and dedication to innovation have helped shape the winery’s reputation and success. She is widely respected for her collaborative spirit, mentorship, and passion for winemaking.

As Director of Winemaking, Stemmler will continue to work with Aafedt on the development and quality control of all Bogle wines, while assuming the role overseeing all aspects of winemaking activities, including guiding the winery’s long-term vision. 

Stemmler, who started with Bogle in 2006 after earning a viticulture degree from the University of California – Davis, began working in the lab performing data entry and quickly was promoted to enologist and ultimately winemaker. Her new role takes effect immediately.
