Brassfield Estate Winery Opens Applications for the Second Edition of High Valley Volcano Camp

The educational immersion returns April 12–15, 2026, offering industry professionals a rare, in-depth exploration of High Valley AVA’s volcanic terroir

November 20, 2025 (Clearlake Oaks, CA)Brassfield Estate Winery, acknowledged as one of the most authoritative and successful rising voices in Northern California, is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the second edition of the High Valley Volcano Camp, taking place April 12-15, 2026. This immersive program invites a select group of trade and industry professionals to explore the exceptional quality and volcanic heritage of the High Valley AVA in Lake County, through advanced seminars, comparative tastings, and hands-on vineyard study.

Building on the success of the inaugural 2025 edition, the 2026 High Valley Volcano Camp will once again offer a comprehensive curriculum designed to illuminate the complexity and diversity of High Valley’s volcanic landscape. Participants will gain firsthand insight into the region’s distinctive soils and microclimates through on-site vineyard explorations, soil pit examinations, and technical discussions led by leading geologists, viticulturists, and industry educators. The program will also feature deep verticals of Brassfield Estate’s estate-grown portfolio—providing trade professionals with a rare, high-level perspective on how volcanic origins shape wine style, structure, and ageability.

“We’re thrilled to open applications for the second edition of the High Valley Volcano Camp,” says Chris Baker, President of Brassfield Estate Winery. “Last year’s program reaffirmed how meaningful it is for trade professionals to experience our volcanic landscape firsthand. This immersion offers a rare opportunity to understand the geologic forces that define the High Valley AVA and to see how our team translates that complexity into the glass.”

Designed as both an educational forum and an on-the-ground exploration, the High Valley Volcano Camp reflects Brassfield Estate Winery’s ongoing commitment to sharing the depth and diversity of the High Valley AVA with the wider trade community. The program offers participants a rare opportunity to engage directly with the estate’s vineyards, technical team, and volcanic terrain, providing a level of insight that is difficult to replicate outside the region itself.

Applications for the 2026 High Valley Volcano Camp are now open. Trade and industry professionals interested in participating are encouraged to apply early, as space is limited. The four-day experience includes two days of immersive programming April 13 and April 14, 2026, with arrival on April 12 and departure on April 15.
