November 20, 2025 (New York, NY) — Wine Spectator, the world’s leading authority on wine, has announced that the Albert Bichot Bourgogne Origines 2023 has been named the #68 wine on this year’s list of the Top 100 Most Exciting Wines of 2025. The full list can be found online at top100.wine spectator.com.
Albert Bichot wines are continuously celebrated for their extraordinary quality, sustainability, and international recognition. “This honor showcases the winery’s commitment to producing wines with a clear expression of Burgundy’s terroir. The Bourgogne Origines presents the great value which can still be found today in Burgundy,” said President of Albert Bichot USA, Jim Opalka. The Bourgogne Origines 2023 is crafted from a meticulous selection of vineyards throughout the region, with varying exposure and altitude. The diversity of these terroirs along with careful vinification and ageing allow the Pinot Noir grape to produce an aromatic, fleshy, refined wine.
“Our list of honorees provides a snapshot of the year in wine, covering everything from top-scoring bottles and standout values to a wave of emerging wineries,” said Jeffery Lindenmuth, Executive Editor, Wine Spectator. “In a year that has challenged the wine industry, our Top 100 reflects the resilience, commitment and long-term view shown by producers around the world.”
These 100 bottles were chosen from over 10,200 wines reviewed in blind tastings by Wine Spectator’s editors. Selections are based on four criteria: quality (based on score), value (based on price), availability (based on the number of cases made or imported into the U.S.) and the “X-factor”—a compelling story and excitement behind the wine.
The complete Top 100 package, including detailed profiles for the full Top 100 list, will be in the magazine’s December 31 issue, on newsstands December 2.
