November 20, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — Adversity Cellars, the highly acclaimed project from winemakers Russell and Heidi Bevan, announces an exciting new chapter as it transitions under the Bevan Cellars portfolio.
This evolution marks the culmination of a remarkable journey for Adversity Cellars — a label born from the Bevans’ shared vision to craft wines from vineyards that embody strength, struggle, and resilience. Since its founding, Adversity has become one of Napa Valley’s most coveted boutique brands, beloved for its vineyard transparency, textural depth, and unwavering following among collectors.
While 2023 will mark the final vintage bottled under the Adversity Cellars name, the story continues: three of its most highly sought-after single-vineyard wines will live on within Bevan Cellars, beginning with the 2024 vintage.

The transition reflects Russell’s renewed commitment to Bevan Cellars following its recent partnership expansion with Middleton Partners — longtime friends and collectors who joined the Bevans as co-owners earlier this year. It also allows Russell to spend more time in the vineyards and at the winery, deepening the craftsmanship and terroir-driven storytelling that define his wines.
