Brooks Wine Named #35 on the World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2025 List: One of Only Two Oregon Wineries Recognized Among the World’s Top 50

November 19, 2025 (Amity, OR)Brooks Wine has been named one of The World’s 50 Best Vineyards for 2025, earning a coveted place among the most exceptional winery destinations on the planet. The recognition marks Brooks as one of two Oregon wineries included on the global list, and only seven domestic wineries made the list.

The World’s 50 Best Vineyards program honors outstanding winery and vineyard experiences across six continents, celebrating producers that go beyond great wine to deliver unforgettable hospitality, sustainability, innovation and, of course, breathtaking vineyards. The list is compiled from the votes of more than 700 international sommeliers, wine tourism experts, and members of the trade.

Brooks has redefined what it means to be both a cultural and community destination in Oregon wine country. As the first winery in the world to achieve both B Corp and Demeter Biodynamic certifications, Brooks leads with purpose—championing climate action, inclusion, and authentic community connection through every facet of its operations.

That commitment shows up everywhere, from the vineyard and garden to the tasting room. This year, Brooks introduced a nonalcoholic (N/A) wine flight to ensure that all guests feel welcome and will expand that vision by hosting the inaugural N/A Wine & Beverage Conference “Sip & Savor, A Dry January Experience”  in January 2026, a weekend of N/A wine dinners, food pairings, mocktail demonstrations, tastings, panel discussions and more that invite audiences old and new into the conversation around mindfulness and conscious choices around what to drink.

Through its Artisans in Residence program, Brooks partners with 12 local, purpose-driven businesses each year to host collaborative tastings and events spotlighting diverse makers. Each partner is either B Corp certified, a member of 1% for the Planet, or diversity-founded or -led, extending Brooks’ mission of impact beyond wine.

Brooks believes that community engagement and hospitality are inseparable. Its biodynamic estate gardens have become an interactive, educational hub featuring a “Secret Garden” tasting space and on-site farm store where guests can purchase produce grown on the property.

The achievement also highlights the work of the Wine Atlas Collective, a national alliance of regionally focused, terroir-driven wineries. Brooks is a founding member of the Collective along with William Chris in Texas. William Chris also secured a place on this year’s Top 50 list. Having two founding members recognized among the world’s best reinforces the Collective’s shared pursuit of excellence and enhances the value offered to wine club members through reciprocal benefits and elevated experiences across all partner wineries.

About Brooks
Founded in 1998, Brooks is a female-led, family-owned winery located in Amity, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The winery produces 18,000 cases annually across 50 labels, with a focus on Pinot Noir, Riesling, and other aromatic white wines.

Over the years, Brooks has earned widespread acclaim. In 2019, 2021, and 2023, Brooks was designated as one of the Top 100 Wineries in the world by Wine & Spirits Magazine and has been named a 100 Best Fan-Favorite Destination in Oregon six years in a row. In 2023, Brooks was named Green Company of the Year by The Drinks Business and was #28 of the World’s Best Vineyards in 2023 and #55 in 2024. Recent Brooks wines continue to show up on Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling Top 100 lists. Janie Brooks Heuck, Managing Director, just received the 2025 Oregon Wine Board’s Outstanding Industry Leadership Award for her two decades of championing sustainability, pioneering global initiatives, and leading Brooks to become the world’s only winery with both B-Corp and Demeter Biodynamic certifications.

Brooks is the living legacy of Jimi Brooks, a visionary Portland native who came to wine through his passion for history and philosophy. Jimi devoted his life to holistic farming and winemaking in the Willamette Valley. Jimi passed away unexpectedly in 2004 at the age of 38. His son Pascal (8 years old at the time) became the Owner of Brooks, and Brooks has continued with the dedication of Jimi’s best friend, Chris Williams (Brooks’ Winemaker Emeritus), and his sister, Janie Heuck (Brooks’ Managing Director). Today, Claire Jarreau serves as Winemaker, and the entire team remains committed to carrying forward Jimi’s vision of quality, sustainability, and community.
