Sorèlune Launches a Single-Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay Made Exclusively in 100% Reusable Steel Kegs

Latest project by Winemaker Nova Cadamatre, MW, designed to give consumers access to higher quality wines at a lower cost

November 6, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — As wine lovers become more discerning and value-conscious, and restaurants look for smarter ways to keep pace with shifting expectations, a new brand is stepping forward with a solution built for both.

Sorèlune (pronounced soh-reh-LOON), founded by acclaimed winemaker and Master of Wine Nova Cadamatre, is launching its inaugural wine: a single-vineyard 2024 Carneros Chardonnay from Thomson Vineyard, offered exclusively in kegs.

Born from a long-standing friendship between Cadamatre and grower Jennifer Thomson, Sorèlune is crafted to overdeliver by the glass. It’s woman-grown, woman-made, and woman-owned, and it’s designed with both sustainability and accessibility in mind.

“Restaurants are looking for creative ways to delight their guests without compromising on quality,” said Nova Cadamatre, MW. “We built Sorèlune to answer that call. This Chardonnay offers the elegance and pedigree of a single-vineyard Napa Valley wine, but in a format that manages costs and delivers freshness, glass after glass.”

The 2024 vintage is sourced exclusively from the Thomson Vineyard in Napa Carneros – a prized neighborhood – and fermented in French oak (one-third new, one-third once-used, one-third neutral). With a long, even growing season, the result is a dry, fragrant Chardonnay that balances freshness with finesse.

“I am thrilled to collaborate with Nova on this new Chardonnay – a wine that truly reflects the character of our vineyard and her thoughtful craftsmanship,” said fourth generation grape grower Jennifer Thomson. “Working closely through the growing season, we focused on nurturing fruit that balances brightness and texture, giving Nova the foundation to express both place and purity in the finished wine.”

Offered exclusively in stainless steel kegs, Sorèlune’s format is part of a growing movement to rethink packaging for restaurants. Each keg eliminates 26 bottles’ worth of glass, corks, capsules, and labels – reducing waste and carbon footprint, while ensuring consistent, oxidation-free pours from first glass to last.

“We’ve always believed in the quality of this vineyard and the power of women supporting women,” said Cadamatre. “But more than anything, we saw a gap in the market, and we filled it.”

With just 87 kegs produced in its debut vintage, Sorèlune is available now through JS Selections, with a focus on Bay Area restaurants offering elevated by-the-glass programs.

Cadamatre and her husband, Brian, are the proprietors of Tradewinds Wine Company, which includes brands such as Trestle Thirty One and Snowshell Vineyards from the Finger Lakes and Fiadh Ruadh (Fay-ah Roo-ah) in Napa Valley. She is the first female winemaker in the US to receive the title of Master of Wine. She is also the consulting winemaker to several other wineries including Đổi Dá wines in Napa Valley.
