The extended 51-100 list, showcasing those vineyards ranked from 51st to 100th in the world, is unveiled ahead of The World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2025 awards ceremony
November 5, 2025 — The World’s 50 Best Vineyards today unveils the vineyards ranked No.51 to No.100, ahead of the official awards ceremony in Margaret River, Western Australia on 19 November. This annual list celebrates the very best vineyard experiences around the globe, shining a spotlight on exceptional wineries that offer outstanding wine tourism, from breathtaking locations and immersive tours to exquisite tasting rooms and restaurants, and aims to boost wine-related travel and global recognition for wine regions worldwide.
Showcasing world-class wine destinations across six continents, the extended 51-100 list is compiled from the votes of more than 700 international wine industry professionals, including sommeliers, wine journalists, travel and wine tourism specialists, and the international wine trade. Each expert has cast their votes for The World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2025, with the full ranking set to be announced live on stage on 19 November.
The 51-100 List in Numbers
- The 51-100 list includes vineyards from six continents and 38 wine regions
- There are 18 new entries from 17 regions, ranging from West Sussex, UK and Champagne, France to Tokaj, Hungary and Kakheti, Georgia
- 33 of the entries are from Europe, followed by six from South America, four from Africa, five from Oceania, one from Asia and one from North America
- The highest new entry in the 51-100 list is Wairau River Wines in Marlborough, New Zealand at No.52
- First vineyards from Ribera del Duero, Spain and Kakheti, Georgia enter the list: Bodegas Arzuaga (No.64) and Château Buera (No.72)

Europe boasts the most entries in the 51-100 list with 33 vineyards featured. This includes 11 new entries, three of which are from Italy: Azienda Agricola Arianna Occhipinti in Sicily (No.78), Masi Cellars in Veneto (No.83) and Casanova Di Neri in Tuscany (No.87). Also from Italy, Marchesi Di Barolo in Piedmont re-enters the 51-100 list at No.80, along with Castello Banfi (No.61) and Tenuta Cavalier Pepe (No.81).
Vineyards in Portugal take a total of eight spots on the 51-100 list, the most out of any country this year. The Douro Valley claims six of these, with Quinta do Seixo (Sandeman) at No.62; Quinta do Bomfim (Symington Family Estates) at No.66; Quinta do Crasto (No.67); Quinta do Noval (No.73); Quinta Nova De Nossa Senhora Do Carmo (No.74) and Quinta do Vallado (No.84). Herdade do Esporão in Alentejo places at No.69 on the list and Taylor’s Port Cellars, Porto, places No.85.
France is represented by seven vineyards: Veuve Clicquot (No.51), Moët & Chandon (No.57) and Philipponnat Champagne (No.76) all from Champagne; Château Pichon Baron (No.60) and Cos d’Estournel (No.97) from Bordeaux; Domaine Faiveley(No.59) from Burgundy and M. Chapoutier (No.77) from Rhône Valley.
Elsewhere in Europe, Spain gains three vineyards in the 51-100 list with a new entry from Bodegas Arzuaga in Ribera del Duero (No.64), joining Bodegas Muga in Rioja (No.53) and Bodegas Granbazán (No.86). The UK sees a new entry with Leonardslee Family Vineyards in Sussex (No.56) and Balfour Winery in Kent (No.96) re-enters the list for the first time since 2022. In Hungary, Tokaj-Hétszőlő Organic Vineyards (No.58) enters the list for the first time and Disznókő places No.63, both from Tokaj.
Further entries from Europe include Domäne Wachau (No.68) and Weingut Tement (No.82), which are both located in Austria. Midalidare Estate (No.54) from Bulgaria makes the 51-100 list, while Château Mukhrani (No.75) joins Château Buera (No.72) from Georgia.
South America celebrates one new entry to this year’s 51-100 list, with Sitio La Estocada (No.91), in Mendoza, Argentina. Finca El Paraíso – Luigi Bosca (No.70), Bodega DiamAndes (No.93) and Bodega Lagarde (No.95) also represent Argentina in the 51-100 list. Vineyards from Uruguay and Chile secure one spot each with Bodega Bouza (No.55) and Clos Apalta in the Colchagua Valley (No.65) respectively.
South Africa secures two new entries, with La Motte Wine Estate (No.94) and Hamilton Russell Vineyards (No.99) joining the 51-100 list. Stellenbosch saw two re-entries to the list with Tokara Wine and Olive Estate (No.71) and Delaire Graff Estate (No.79).
New Zealand welcomes three new entries with Wairau River Wines in Marlborough (No.52), Greystone Winery (No.89), and Felton Road in Central Otago (No.98). Kumeu River Wines re-enters the 51-100 list for the first time since 2023 at No.90, and Ata Rangi retains its place on the 51-100 list, this year at No.100.
Lebanon claims one entry on this year’s 51-100 list with Chateau Kefraya (No.92), while the USA attains a vineyard on the 51-100 list with Beringer Vineyards (No.88) in Napa Valley.

The Voting Process
The World’s 50 Best Vineyards list is compiled from the votes of the global Academy of voters. The world is split into 20 geographical regions, each headed up by an acknowledged expert as its Academy Chair. Each region is responsible for recruiting 36 wine and travel experts. Each member of the Voting Academy must vote for 7 vineyards. There is no pre-determined checklist of criteria or predefined list to choose from – each vote is a nomination for a vineyard experience open to the public that they deem to be truly among the best in the world.
Results
The awards ceremony for The World’s 50 Best Vineyards 2025 is being held at Amelia Park Wines in Margaret River Region, Western Australia on the evening of Wednesday 19 November. The announcement of the list and individual awards can be followed via the 50 Best social media channels.
