September 24, 2025 — Reeve and BloodRoot Wines are pleased to announce the appointment of Katy Wilson as its new Director of Winemaking for both brands. Katy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role, where she oversees all of the winery’s 25 vineyards across Sonoma and Mendocino County. Katy’s tenured experience has honed her belief that every wine she makes is distinctive, and carries the impact of its place and time.

Katy Wilson, Director of Winemaking

Founded by Noah and Kelly Dorrance, Reeve crafts elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and other high-end bottlings from top California vineyards. Their style leans refined and classic, with a focus on design, luxury, and a deep sense of place. Also from Noah and Kelly Dorrance, BloodRoot delivers incredible value without sacrificing quality wines made from top-tier vineyard sources but offered at everyday prices. The focus is on drinkability, versatility, and bringing more people into the fine wine experience.

Working closely with Noah, Katy translates his vision into wines that are memorable, distinct, and site-driven. Following a low-intervention yet high-touch approach, Katy lets the wines speak for themselves. During harvest season, you can find her checking tanks multiple times a day, sorting fruit, and meticulously managing oxygen exposure to ensure each wine is both ready to drink upon release and built to age gracefully.
