Franciacorta Toasted the Winners of the 77th Edition of the Emmy® Awards

September 16, 2025 — For the fifth consecutive year, Franciacorta was Official Sparkling Wine of the 77th edition of the Emmys®, celebrated this year at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and broadcast live by CBS.

The Television Academy awarded prizes in 26 categories for the 2024-2025 television season with the centre stage players being Severance (27 nomination), The Penguin (24), The White Lotus and The Studio (23). Thriller series such as The Last of Us and Andor, and comedies The Bear and Only Murders in the Building also shone, confirming television’s central innovation space and global narrative importance. The ceremony’s most emotional moments included Ted Danson and Mary Steenburgen winning the prestigious Bob Hope Humanitarian Award, and Lainey Wilson and Vince Gill’s moving performance for the In Memoriam section.

Franciacorta inaugurated the Emmy® Awards week on 11 September with an exclusive dinner at Los Angeles’s famous Angelini Osteria restaurant. The event, whose protagonist was chef Gino Angelini, kicked off the celebrations, offering guests an authentically Italian taste experience. Franciacorta was present at all official Emmy Awards 2025 events, taking its Italian style onto one of the most widely watched international stages. Three top guests represented it on the red carpet: Marta Pozzan, Italo-American actress and creator, Shanina Shaik, international super model, and Jeannie Mai, presenter and style icon, shining the spotlight on Franciacorta’s spirit and profound Italian roots.

Franciacorta’s presence at the Emmys®, toasting the success of the stars of international television, was further proof of its Made in Italy ambassadorial role. President of the Franciacorta Consortium, Emanuele Rabotti, said: ‘Being Official Sparkling Wine at the Emmy Awards confirmed Franciacorta’s commitment to its international Italian excellence ambassador role.’

The Franciacorta Consortium is the body which guarantees and monitors Franciacorta production standards, as the first Italian wine produced exclusively with the bottle refermentation process to have obtained the Protected and Guaranteed Designation of Origin (DOCG) denomination in 1995. The Consortium’s work takes various forms, ranging from safeguarding its brand and region, promoting its products via ongoing work on its production regulations and denominations, consumer information campaigns and promoting Franciacorta as an expression of an area, a wine and a production method. Founded on 5 March 1990 its head offices are in Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta. The Consortium is presided over by Emanuele Rabotti and has over 120 associates.
