Be Part of the 50th Anniversary Map – A Golden Ticket for Wine Buyers

September 4, 2025 (Northern Sonoma County, CA) — In 2026, Wine Road, a destination marketing association of wineries and lodgings, will mark a monumental milestone: 50 years of promoting the incredible wineries of Northern Sonoma County. What began in 1976 with a hand-drawn map and just nine wineries has grown into a legacy of connection, collaboration, and celebration. Over the decades, Wine Road has distributed millions of maps, guiding wine lovers from around the world to the best of wine country.
As part of its 50th Anniversary Celebration, Wine Road is inviting wineries to join in creating something truly extraordinary: a 200-winery map. This is a chance for wineries to be part of a lasting legacy, showcasing the incredible diversity and richness of Northern Sonoma County.
For the first time ever, wineries do not need to be full-fledged Wine Road members to be featured on what is regarded as the best wine map in Sonoma County. Wineries may simply purchase a placement for $300 and secure their spot on this 50th Anniversary Map.
Why Join the 50th Anniversary Map?
- Unprecedented Exposure: Wineries will be featured on a map distributed to 200,000 wine buyers annually, with many maps sent directly to visitors planning their trips.
- A Golden Ticket for Guests: Every visitor to wine country will be able to open a map and discover 200 wineries, all within driving distance, complete with details about the wines produced, amenities, and hours.
- Support and Community: Participating wineries will be part of a collective effort to showcase the best of Northern Sonoma County, supporting each other and driving more wine buyers to their doors.
- High Demand for Paper Maps: In a digital world, the old-school paper map remains a cherished tool for wine lovers planning their routes (Wi-Fi and cell service can still be a challenge in some areas).
