August 26, 2025 (St. Paul, MN) — On Saturday, August 30, 2025, Minnesota’s Governor Tim Walz will proclaim this day MN Wine Day, a special event showcasing the best of what local wineries have to offer. Wineries across the state will open their doors for a day of excitement, featuring food trucks, live music, and a variety of activities designed to highlight the unique charm and quality of Minnesota wines.
Whether you’re a seasoned wine enthusiast or new to the local wine scene, MN Wine Day provides the perfect opportunity to explore Minnesota’s rich winemaking heritage. Visitors can expect a warm welcome in tasting rooms throughout the state, where each winery will be hosting its own unique lineup of events. From gourmet food trucks serving up local favorites to live music performances that set the perfect ambiance, there’s something for everyone.
To help you plan your journey, pick up a free map of Minnesota wineries at the Minnesota Wine & Grape Alliance booth in the Ag/Hort building at the Minnesota State Fair. This map will guide you to nearby wineries where you can experience the day’s festivities and discover your new favorite wine.
Also at the Fair, make sure to visit the Minnesota Wine Country building. Here, you can sample a variety of Minnesota wines and discover the unique flavors that our state has to offer. Throughout the 12 days of the Fair, local winemakers and wine experts will be on hand to share their knowledge, offering insights into the Minnesota wine industry and tips for enjoying local wines. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about Minnesota’s burgeoning wine scene, meet the people behind the bottles, and enhance your wine experience.
