Texas wine pioneer Ron Yates introduces new premier boxed wine brand
August 5, 2025 (Johnson City, TX) — In a bold move that blends Texas terroir with modern wine trends, acclaimed Texas winery owner Ron Yates is proud to unveil The Get Together, the first boxed wine from a Texas winery. This innovative release made with 100% Texas grapes marks a milestone for the Texas wine industry and introduces a fresh new brand for wine lovers seeking both quality and convenience.
The Get Together is a premium boxed wine created by Texas wine pioneer Ron Yates and crafted by the award-winning team at Ron Yates and Spicewood Vineyards. It will be available exclusively at Ron Yates and Spicewood Vineyards tasting rooms and online at GetTogetherWine.com. While it hails from two established Texas wineries, The Get Together stands on its own as a new brand aimed at casual sipping, easy entertaining and eco-conscious consumers.

The inaugural The Get Together red wine is a Bordeaux-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (49%), Merlot (49%) and Petit Verdot (2%) from the Texas High Plains. The 3-liter box is the equivalent of 4 bottles and will stay fresh for up to four weeks. Priced at $50, The Get Together offers quality, value and convenience – particularly for outdoor dining, BBQs and casual gatherings at the lake and pool.

Boxed wine has seen a significant rise in popularity across the U.S., driven by shifting consumer preferences toward sustainability, value and casual enjoyment. According to the Wine Analytics Report, premium boxed wine sales were up nearly 9% in early 2025 compared to January 2024.
According to NielsenIQ’s “2024 BevAl Trends to Watch,” 92% of consumers say sustainability is important to them when choosing a brand.
