This new hire joins the family’s fourth generation and recent winemaking team additions, Aaron Pott and Jeremiah Moore, to oversee hospitality and sales at the freshly renovated Rutherford estate.
August 4, 2025 (Napa, CA) — Pestoni Family Estate Winery, which has been family-owned and operated since 1892, welcomes Peter Huls as Estate Director. Peter will work closely with the family’s fourth generation, Greg and Aimee Pestoni, to oversee the winery’s hospitality program, team, and direct-to-consumer sales and marketing strategy.

“Family is extremely important to me, and I have been very fortunate to only work for family-owned wineries in my 18-year wine career,” said Huls. “Pestoni Family Estate Winery has some huge momentum behind it: A brand-new state-of-the-art modern tasting room, a beautiful outside space with amazing views, and a new winemaking team led by Aaron Pott and Jeremiah Moore. The wines are delightful in their youth, continue to get better with age, and the family’s vibe is genuine, warm, and welcoming. I am excited to open up the refreshed tasting space and help oversee the brand’s development for the next generation of wine drinkers.” Huls, who is a Certified Sommelier from the Court of Master Sommeliers, brings nearly 20 years of experience in winery sales and hospitality to Pestoni Family Estate Winery. Following graduation from Sacramento State with a degree in Hospitality Management, Huls went on to work in consumer-facing roles with reputed wineries, including Inglenook as a Hospitality Associate, at Miner Family Winery serving as Hospitality Manager, and most recently at Davis Estates, where he held the position of Director of Hospitality.
