Trefethen Family Vineyards Introduces New Immersive Culinary Experiences for Summer and Harvest Travel

Garden and Glass and Taste the Estate Offer Two Distinct Ways to Experience Trefethen

June 23, 2025 (Napa, CA) — Building on its long-standing legacy of culinary excellence and warm hospitality, Trefethen Family Vineyards announces the debut of Garden and Glass, an immersive, after-hours culinary experience launching July 1, 2025. For the summer and harvest seasons, Trefethen’s acclaimed Taste the Estate experience will also showcase the vibrant bounty of the estate’s expansive culinary gardens, flourishing with seasonal produce, herbs, and edible flowers.

Garden and Glass

Garden and Glass invites guests to explore the full arc of the estate—from soil to table—through a hands-on garden harvest followed by an intimate, four-course dinner paired with estate-grown library wines.

The evening begins with a welcome glass of wine and an introduction to the property’s rich culinary history, which for decades hosted the famous Napa Valley Cooking Class led by Janet Trefethen, where chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Thomas Keller have taught. Guests then visit the estate garden to handpick produce and learn about the vibrant garden that supports the winery’s culinary program.

As the sun sets, the experience concludes with a four-course farm-to-table dinner prepared by Winery Chef Chris Kennedy on the Villa deck. Each seasonal dish is carefully paired with limited-production library wines, offering a lively reflection of the estate’s terroir and craftsmanship.

Garden and Glass is available by appointment starting July 1, 2025, for groups of 8 to 12 guests. The experience is $450 per person. For reservations, contact the winery at 707.255.7700 or email visit@trefethen.com.

Taste the Estate

Trefethen’s signature Taste the Estate experience celebrates the flavors of the season. Guests begin with a guided tour of the estate’s prolific culinary garden before entering The Villa—Trefethen’s historic family home—for a multi-course tasting in an intimate setting.

Each dish is introduced by Chef Chris and paired with rare selections from the Trefethen wine library. Ingredients are sourced as much as possible from the estate’s gardens and orchards, offering a true expression of place. The experience highlights the Trefethen family’s enduring commitment to sustainability, hospitality, and estate-grown wines.

Taste the Estate is available daily at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. by prior appointment for $125 per guest. Reservations can be made through the winery or at www.trefethen.com.
