June 16, 2025 (Napa Valley, CA) — Copper Cane Wine & Spirits is pleased to announce their latest release of Belle Glos Sparkling Blanc de Blanc and Belle Glos Sparkling Rosé, brought to the bottle by fifth-generation winemaker, Joe Wagner. This launch marks an exciting new chapter for Belle Glos, as the winery brings its signature craftsmanship into the world of sparkling wine.
With years of farming experience in the Russian River Valley in Sonoma County, the vineyards are ideal for producing a sparkling wine that does not rely on dosage to balance the profile. Zero Dosage is a bold, uncompromising style that showcases a pure expression terroir through traditional methods – aging the base wine in French oak, allowing malolactic fermentation, and blending multiple vintages to create a vibrant, youthful profile that harmonizes with layered complexity, resulting in a sparkling winewith no residual sugar that evolves beautifully over time. Its searing acidity, fine bubbles, and firm minerality shine without the sweetness of a dosage.
“Not only is sparkling wine celebratory, but it also has a character that conveys the sense of place when done right. I spent a lot of time studying the traditional method of champagne making and experimenting with sparkling wines,” says Joe Wagner, founder of Copper Cane Wine & Spirits. “I ended up crafting two beautiful zero dosage sparkling wines that are as pure to form as possible, with the Blanc de Blanc being 100% Chardonnay and the Sparkling Rosé being 100% Pinot Noir. Both reflect the raw beauty of the Russian River Valley and add another dimension to the Copper Cane portfolio.”
Brilliant light-gold in color, the Belle Glos Sparkling Blanc de Blanc features aromas of honeysuckle, Granny Smith apples, ripe pear, and a hint of baked brioche. A crisp first sip reveals vibrant flavors of Meyer lemon, crisp pear, golden apple, and almond pastry, all leading to a refreshingly elegant finish. For pairings, Joe recommends seared scallops, fresh oysters, truffle popcorn, fried chicken, and caviar.
The Belle Glos Sparkling Rosé is a beautiful salmon-hued color with aromas of wild strawberry, rose petals, raspberry, and a hint of citrus blossom. This wine is bright and vibrant, with flavors of orange zest, raspberry, bright cherry, and apricot. Pairs best with smoked salmon, a fresh berry salad, spicy tuna rolls, roast chicken, and goat cheese.
Both bottles feature a feather motif around the neck band and on the back label, symbolizing the delicacy and grace of the wines. True to Belle Glos’ signature style, the sparkling wines are hand-dipped in wax, making it instantly recognizable and undeniably Belle Glos.
