TASTE will Kick-Off with Taste Our Terroir, the Annual Livermore Valley Food and Wine Competition, and will Take Place on October 16-19, 2025
June 6, 2025 (Livermore, CA) – Livermore Valley Wine Community has announced today that their annual premier wine and food weekend, TASTE: The Livermore Valley Wine Experience, will take place from October 16-19, 2025. TASTE: The Livermore Valley Wine Experience will kick off with the Taste Our Terroir wine and food competition that pairs Livermore Valley wineries and restaurants to compete for the perfect pairings. Throughout the weekend, guests will be immersed in a vibrant array of experiences—from scenic vineyard hikes and hands-on cooking classes to sommelier-led tastings and signature varietal celebrations like Cluck, Cluck Cab Franc and the Ocean & Vine Sauvignon Blanc Social. The festivities continue with an elegant winemaker dinner and a glamorous masquerade under the stars. This year’s Taste Our Terroir wine and food competition will take place on the terrace lawn at Wente Family Vineyards. The panel of esteemed judges will include Keith Beavers, Tastings Director of VinePair and the Host of Vinepair’s Wine 101 podcast; Chef Emily Lim, founder of Dabao Singapore in San Francisco and James Beard Award nominee for Emerging Chef; and Clive Pursehouse, Decanter Magazine’s US Editor. They will select the top Livermore Valley winery and restaurant teams in the following categories:
- Best Classic Pairing
- Most Innovative Pairing
- Judge’s Best Pairing: Overall Best Pairing
Attendees of the event will also cast their votes in the People’s Choice Awards for Best White Wine Pairing and Best Red Wine Pairing.
