May 19, 2025 (St. Helena, CA) — In a rare fusion of fine winemaking and contemporary visual art, Jon Nathaniel Cellars and The Fine Art Auction proudly announce a limited-edition release in collaboration with internationally celebrated painter Simon Röhlen: AKA KEF! The partnership introduces a curated series of bespoke labels adorned with original artwork, offering collectors and connoisseurs an elevated experience at the intersection of taste and aesthetics.

Jon Nathaniel Wines X KEF! on The Fine Art Auction
Each bottle in the limited Collections is far more than a vintage—they are a vessel for storytelling. Kef!’s evocative compositions, created exclusively for this collaboration, explore themes of texture and fluidity in nature, capturing the essence of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon excellence through a masterfully painted lens. The result is an object of beauty, both inside and out.
The label features a striking abstract composition—delicate brushstrokes evocative of KEF!’s signature style, this work of art evokes the fluidity of fine wine cascading into a glass. Subtle textures hint at vineyard landscapes, while his delicate lines capture the play of light, reminiscent of sunlit vines at dusk.
“At Jon Nathaniel we’ve always viewed winemaking as an artistic pursuit,” said Nat Komes, Founder of Jon Nathaniel Cellars: “This partnership allowed us to expand that philosophy, offering our patrons something that speaks to the senses beyond the palate.”
A winemaker broadcast launch event will take place on the global broadcast platform The Fine Art Auction in June of 2025 and an invite only wine tasting and artist meet-and-greet will be held in Napa Valley on February 7th, 2026, featuring a tasting of the wine and an intimate conversation with the artist.
KEF! whose work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in Germany, a California Fine Art Museum, The Fine Art Auction Channel broadcast in the United States, Australia and the United Arab Emirates and Fine Art Galleries worldwide of noted the natural alignment between the practices of painting and viticulture.
There’s a rhythm to both—the patience, the intuition, the deep relationship with place. “This collaboration offered an opportunity to express that connection across two mediums.” KEF!
The collection has been released in a limited quantity; and is available exclusively through Jon Nathaniel Wines and the Fine Art Auction and select fine wine retailers.
This wine is sourced exclusively from the renowned Komes Brockhoff Block of their Rutherford estate, located on the western slope of the Mayacamas Mountain Range. Replanted in 2020 with a complete redesign to complement the volcanic soils and gentle slope. It thrives in harmony with century-old oaks and towering redwoods, nestled next to the Brockhoff Ghost Winery, which dates to 1885 and is home to John and Carrie Komes since 1977.
Winemaker Notes
The excellent 2021 vintage produced a dark, rich, highly concentrated wine with broad swaths of dark plum, fresh-baked berry pie and warm cassis. The abundant fruit is joined by notes of coffee, dark chocolate, and whispers of toasted coconut on a mid-palate that is plush and open-textured. A hint of earth adds complexity, and the firm yet supple tannins bring this Cabernet to a long-lasting finish.
Composition: 100% Rutherford sustainably farmed Cabernet Sauvignon
Cellaring: Drink 2024-2041
