(Nov. 21, 2024; ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.)—Just in time for holiday shopping, VARA Winery & Distillery is excited to host its second annual warehouse sale, VARA Appreciation Day, which will take place on Dec. 8 at the VARA Balloon Fiesta Park Tasting Room, located at 315 Alameda Blvd NE in Albuquerque. The sale will be open from noon to 1 p.m. for wine club members and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. for the general public.
In addition to offering the best deals of the year at the warehouse sale, VARA is thrilled to bring back its famous paella, available at the Balloon Fiesta Park tasting room on select days of the month starting in December. Guests attending the warehouse sale will get a sneak preview of the paella, which is free with any purchase on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
“While our warehouse sale is a great time to stock up on many of your favorite VARA wines and spirits, we are also dedicated to making this a community-focused event for all to enjoy,” says Carrie Freeman, VARA’s General Manager. “Our team can’t wait to welcome VARA fans as they snag some great gifts for loved ones and themselves, and join us in celebrating the return of our beloved paella.”
The sale will feature a selection of VARA’s wines and spirits, all of which are locally made in Albuquerque and crafted to reflect the innovative spirit of New Mexico. While guests peruse the once-a-year discounts available only at the sale, they will also have the opportunity to learn more about VARA’s unique bottlings as they sip samples at educational stations helmed by the people who produce the libations, including winemakers Laurent Gruet and Sofian Himeur as well as distiller Ayisha Mares.
