August 6, 2024 – Riboli Family Wines and Breakthru Beverage today announce a new partnership in Delaware, Minnesota, Nevada and Pennsylvania, expected to take effect in early fall. With its #1 Import wine Stella Rosa, Riboli is a market leader in the industry and a top five producer in volume in the Paso Robles and Monterey regions. Breakthru’s sharp customer focus and deep reach in grocery, c-store and other on and off-premise channels were top factors in Riboli’s distributor selection, supporting the supplier’s focus on building out their core business while successfully launching innovation.
“While we have some of the most popular and top-selling wine brands, we are always looking for partners who want to work with us to build to the next level of strategic growth,” said Steve Riboli, 3rd generation owner and CEO & President of Riboli Family Wines. “Breakthru’s strategic insights, strong operational capabilities and expert team are enormous assets for our brands, and we look forward to collaborating with them to expand our market presence with even more customers and consumers.”
A family-owned business since 1917, Riboli today is focused on innovation in both its wine and spirit brands that are imported and domestically produced. The portfolio is led by the popular Stella Rosa brand of Italian sweet wines, including its flagship Stella Rosa Black; it also includes domestic wines from the family’s estate vineyards in Paso Robles and Monterey including San Simeon, Highlands 41 Wines, Maddalena, and Opaque. In adding Riboli, Breakthru further rounds out its portfolio offerings to help customers meet every consumer need. The distributor will leverage its analytical tools and operational capabilities to support Riboli’s vision for growth in these markets.
“Whether an anniversary dinner or a backyard barbecue, we understand that there is a wine for every occasion, and it is our goal at Breakthru to ensure our customers can meet consumers where they are with a wine that fits their needs. We’re thrilled to expand our wine offerings with a great selection of Riboli Family Wines, as well as spirits like Stella Rosa Brandy and exciting new innovation brands like Spritz del Conte and Riva de la Rosa, aligning with our goal to have a diverse and robust portfolio for our customers,” said Adam Pizer, SVP, Supplier Business Development, Wine at Breakthru. “Much like Breakthru, Riboli brings an innovative approach with an eye on the future, sharing our vision to expand and reach different consumers both on and off premise. We look forward to launching this new partnership in four dynamic markets, leveraging our world-class teams, enhanced training programs and capabilities to drive their business forward.”
