Leading World-Wide Distribution Company Announces Comprehensive New Product Line in Time for 2024 Harvest

RahrBSG, the distinguished distributor of best-in-class ingredients to the global alcohol beverage industry, will be releasing a new line of enzymes, polysaccharides, tannins and malolactic bacteria developed by AB Biotek in early August.

Designed to support winemakers, these products will enhance the quality of fermentation, yield, and sensory characteristics for this year’s harvest and beyond.

AB Biotech, the manufacturer of the premium Pinnacle Wine Yeast product line, developed the comprehensive portfolio to meet current winemaking practices to deliver enhanced flavor development and aromatic complexity while avoiding the chances of sluggish and stuck fermentations.

Pinnacle Wine Enzymes

Zym Clarify

Pectolytic enzyme preparation that enables quick depectinization, reducing viscosity and turbidity of white & rosé musts during settling.

Zym Clarify+

Pectolytic enzyme preparation for quick clarification, reducing viscosity and turbidity of must, even when settling conditions are difficult.

Zym Color

A concentrated granulated pectinase enzyme specifically formulated to accelerate color and polyphenol extraction.

Zym Red Extract

An enzyme that breaks down grape pectin chains, enabling a quicker extraction of aroma precursors contained in red grape skins. Secondary activity of hemicellulase facilitates color and tannin extraction.

Zym White Extract

Eases juice extraction with shorter pressing cycles and higher juice yields. Reduced time in the press preserves must from oxidation, extracting all the aromatic and color potential of grapes. The pectinase lyses the pectin substances, improving clarification of the must in white and rosé wines.

Pinnacle Tannins

Color Tan

In early maceration, product inactivates oxidative enzymes, precipitates grape proteins and preserves endogenous tannins. In later maceration, it promotes polymerization and stabilization of polyphenol anthocyanin.

HT Tan

A complex ellagic tannin extracted from toasted French oak. May be added at any time (ageing, after MLF or pre-bottling). Reinforces red wines with sweet and well-balanced tannic notes.

Natura Tan

An ellagic tannin that provides a stable, anti-oxidative environment to wine for a quality ageing process. Product releases sweet and complex soft tannins, enhancing fruity flavors and wine volume.

Seed Tan

A special grape tannin for color stabilization and polyphenol polymerization. Product compensates natural grape tannin deficiency and decreases astringency in wine.

Structure Tan

A complex tannin for color and polyphenol stabilization of premium red wines. Contributes to structure and aromatic stability, improving bouquet and drinkability characteristics.

Pinnacle Malolactic Bacteria

MaloSafe

An innovative blend of two specifically selected pure Oenococcus oeni strains that are synergistically more robust and more stress-tolerant than the individual strains. The blend secures malolactic fermentation under most conditions.

Pinnacle Polysaccharides

Absolute MP

A pure, soluble yeast mannoprotein providing clear smoothing effects in wine by reducing the astringency of aggressive grape and wood tannins.

Ferm MP

A 100% specific, inactivated yeast for early color stabilization and smoothing effects. This organic (ammonium salt-free) yeast derivate provides a better mouth feel, color stabilization and nutrition.

Wine MP

100% yeast cells rich in mannoproteins, which act to smooth grape and wood tannins, as well as contribute to aromatic complexity, enhanced flavor and roundness in red wine.
