Paul Goldberg of Bettinelli Vineyards
Napa, CA (April 22, 2024) – Paul Goldberg has been named the Napa Valley Grapegrowers 2024 Napa Valley Grower of the Year. Goldberg is President of Bettinelli Vineyards, overseeing the development and management of high-quality vineyards throughout the Napa Valley.
As an active member of the Napa Valley Grapegrowers for over 15 years, Goldberg has served in various leadership roles, including on NVG’s board of directors for 8 years and as past board president. In addition to his work with the Napa Valley Grapegrowers, Paul is the current President of the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, having served 12 years on the board, and is a current board member of the California Association of Winegrape Growers (CAWG). He is also an active member of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Sacramento Chapter.
Goldberg received his Bachelor of Arts at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. After graduation he was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship to Chile, where he worked and continued his studies at Universidad Católica de Valparaiso.
Paul’s dedication to sustainable farming practices and cultivating top-tier wine grapes has been unwavering. His meticulous attention to detail has set a new standard for exceptional farming in the Napa Valley, raising the bar for viticultural excellence. His commitment goes beyond cultivation of the land; he actively cultivates an environment where individuals with the right credentials are not just recognized but encouraged to flourish. This approach fosters a culture of continuous growth and excellence within his business, ensuring that each member of the team can maximize their potential.

Goldberg was born and raised in the Napa Valley. A vocal advocate for the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and the Napa Valley as a whole, he continues to dedicate his career to pursuing excellence. Paul enjoys the outdoors, and lives in the Town of Yountville with his wife Lia and their three children Lina, Marie, and John.
Nominations for the Grower of the Year come from the NVG membership. The recipient is chosen by a special Selection Committee made up of Past Presidents, current Directors, and active committee members. The award criteria include: a strong commitment to sustainable practices; recognized leadership in agricultural preservation; dedicated community focus; contributions to the Napa Valley Grapegrowers; and someone who actively promotes Napa’s reputation for the highest quality vineyards.
