March 20th – On 14 March, at the party to launch the 2024 season and celebrate our Best Of Wine Tourism Gold award in the presence of tourism professionals, press and officials, the Château announced that it was joining La Bulle Verte – Slow Exploration network, on Wednesday 20th of March, on Spring Day.
Building on the high-quality hospitality experience that it has been developing since 2017, the property has gained the “Vignobles & Découvertes” label and won multiple awards, with four Best Of Wine Tourism awards for its various tours, including the 2024 “Gold Best Of” for the Château’s food offering.
The team, led by Séverine Bonnie, is committed to offering visitors authentic, personalised experiences, and has always sought to respond to new demands. For example, as Covid ended in 2021, Séverine created the “Following Malartic’s Trails” tour, a walk through the heart of the estate that enables a better understanding of the vineyard and its surrounding ecosystem. The trail offers many beautiful sights, with the woods and clearings of the Château Neuf plot, where the property’s draught horses rest, accompanied by the flock of sheep that graze in the vineyard.
In early 2024, after meeting Frederic Nau, co-founder of La Bulle Verte, the Malartic team did not hesitate to join the network, with a view to offering visitors even more content and explaining its agro-ecological philosophy in sound and images. On their own or accompanied, visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Malartic with audio and video clips. Two tours are available: The Following Malartic’s trails and the Gourmet Break at Malartic (shorter loop).
“With the “Following Malartic’s trails”, you can explore the gravelly hilltop of Malartic, from the orientation table to the Château Neuf clearings, greeting our donkey Hyppolite and the Malartic lambs. Along the way, you’ll see Hali and Goliath, our two Percheron draught horses, working on the property’s plateau. Back at the winery, you can admire the cleverly designed gravity-operated buildings, as you enjoy an outdoor tasting, facing the château, of Malartic’s white and red wines. Total immersion!” declares Séverine Bonnie.
